Retired my GTX 680, she served me well through the years I figure its a good time to upgrade to a 1080.

2500k still going strong.
I think old school would be pushing it haha, it's not that old. The AX750 is very solid though. Next upgrade is a CPU/mbo/ddr4 but right now I just don't really need to, the 2500k @4.5ghz is doing fine for everything I need right now. The only thing is my idle temps suck, I think my 2500k was always a bad one, always had to put more volts through it I feel compared to other 2500ks out there.
I miss these temps. Kinda grew out of the watercooling thing though.

That is a standing mat. I moved my chair to the side out of the picture. The desk has a motor that goes up and down so I can sit or stand depending on the mood.
So I just upgraded to an EVGA 1070 FE in my build and I am looking into a 144hz monitor to take advantage of the extra frames. Not interested in paying much more than 200... is that Acer GN246HL monitor any good? Looks like a home run for 144hz on a budget.
Not really much of a gaming set up anymore, more for work and a few games here and there. Have taken the LED pins out of the fans, as I got sick of green lights.

Not really the thread to be asking build/peripheral advice, but always go into Acer purchases with an understanding that they are a lower end brand and remember that. They are not up there with Samsung, LG, ASUS, and Dell, no matter how much they tell you they are.

Dude tell me about that triforce on your desk!
Also wtf is threadripper everyone keeps talking about? So confused.
The Triforce lamp was a gift from a mate. They're sold in Aus at a shop called Zing, which is owned by EB Games (GameStop).
As Evildeffy said, it's AMD 'enthusiast' lineup, more cores/threads, definitely overkill for me, but I'll be able to smash out some vids quick smart.

So here's what I built for myself (not solely for WoW, though):
Case: Fractal Node 202
CPU: Intel i7 7700k
MB: Asus Rog Strix Z270i
GPU: NVidia GeForce GTX Titan

Cooler: Cryorig C7
Mouse and Keyboard: some random Bluetooth stuff
HDD: Seagate FireCuda 1TB
Screen: LG C6 OLED TV
Headphones: Sennheiser Momentum Wireless
Not at all interested in sitting at a desk anymore, so it's designed for comfortable couch-gaming...

Ayyyy. So I saw some Micro Center deals thanks to some people on this forum, and I decided now was the time to finally join the Aryan PC Master Race, so I bought the parts and built the computer.
Thanks to all the people who helped my thread. It was my first build, so helping pick parts/check compatibility, and then actually help me troubleshoot errors while actually building was really helpful. I'm truly grateful to the people who posted there.
The parts and final prices with taxes (rebates applied):
CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 1600 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($217.25)
Motherboard: Asus - PRIME B350-PLUS ATX AM4 Motherboard ($49.25)
Memory: G.Skill - Flare X 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($119.99)
Storage: SanDisk - SSD PLUS 240GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($95.58)
Storage: Toshiba - 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($46.70)
Video Card: MSI - GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB GAMING X 3G Video Card ($241.56)
Case: Corsair - SPEC-ALPHA (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case ($71.46)
Power Supply: EVGA - SuperNOVA G2 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($83.19)
Total: $907.62
I'm pretty happy with it. I tested some games out and I don't lag~
