Take it up with the NHS.
This isn't even remotely the appropriate place.

If Nicola Sturgeon was here, she would be blaming the Westminster government right ....... now!

Dear Mr Morrison, people regularly complain about the length of time they have to wait for an appointment, you have received yours for -1 day's time and yet you are still moaning.

Sure it's their fail and not the post office? The post office here has managed to screw me over so many times that I've lost count. Stuff coming late like that, or just go missing entirely. Last time it was appointment to a blood test, that arrived 3 days after I should have gone to it.

Look at the top right of the letter - it was written 2 days after the appointment. It wasnt the post office at fault, this letter was doomed from the start!

Edit: occured to me that there are many Americans looking at this. It is not in US date format: 1/6/2017 is the first of june, not the 6th of january.

    Oh...So it is

Well, I like blaming post offices anyway, so it wasn't a wasted rant!

Next thing you know you've been struck off their lists for a DNA (did not arrive).

Isn't that what UK does to EU? shots fired.

Perhaps it's something to do with post system anyway. I mean here in Finland they started offering all kinds of other services like mowing the grass and helping old people go outdoors. I mean soo it ends up that post is going to do everything else but posting letters/parcels.

The fact that this can be confused in the first place shows how god awful both methods are if both are in frequent use, which I why I always write the date like this:

    Saturday June 3, 2017
    or
    June 3, 2017

Not sure that I agree with that. It is not both systems that are awful, just one :P the one that has no concept of orders of magnitude.

Well obviously the correct date format is best in an ideal world. But as long as the US is mucking things up for everyone, it becomes much less than ideal.

It is, as it shows the various ways these organisations attempt to game the system.
This isn't a new thing and if it's spreading to the NHS instead of being a mistake then it needs to be dealt with.

Perhaps you could tell us how he should take it up with the NHS in a way that get's an effective response.
