Yep, expect they aren't preparing to kill people. They're just preparing to defend themselves and others from assholes like the guy in Portland.
It's "super" tony, get it right.

Well, that will free you up to actual provide evidence of any of those claims you made about these particular students actually attacking people.

There is a way better source out there, unfortunately I cannot post links yet. WFTV, the local ABC affiliate, did a story regarding this group without all the spin. Search google for "WFTV fight club".

Different places have different standards, but as somebody who has done bjj for a while and helped host a number of self defense classes (majority are women but a few mixed) the presentation of information is actually pretty frequently brought up prior to. I just find it interesting that if it was presented as Tony's quote says that they were allowed to be so aggressive with their approach as most places won't allow you to host one under that pretense. Bad publicity for gyms and the host building/school/group if somebody gets a bit amped and thinks they are going to do some silly shit and winds up hurt.

What's the issue here? How come teaching self-defense techniques to women and minorities is perceived as a negative thing?

I'll coach if they pay me. Also it has to be in New York, not central Florida.

It's only discrimination or hate crimes if it's a white man doing it.

What I'm most curious about is how they determine if someone is republican or not...

What's to stop Joe Randomguy from signing up and pretending to be anti-republican or anti-trump?

(Can't check the article right now, on mobile and that site doesn't seem to want to load at the moment)
