I don't like Trump but you've been more than vicious with me in the past, even though I respect you, but didn't ultimately agree. I'm also a very philosophical individual and while I try to source as much of my positions from fact(or as much fact as I can muster this day and age - it gets confusing at times) I find that one's personal philosophy is still important.

Such as my feelings towards the application of law. You'll notice I am rarely if ever moving no matter the subject.

I do, somewhat, expect such conflict because I'm much more liberal-leaning than you and most conservatives. I'm definitely the "black sheep" of my family when it comes to politics but unfortunately, don't exactly find myself at home among Democrats either. I'm constantly sandwiched between the two and their bullshit and it's one of the reasons why I likely come across as so sour.

The "Trumpkins" aren't much worse(if at all) than Hillary's followers or really any group of people who devolve their political views down into a distilled, mouth-puckering vinaigrette of little more than personal angst. I get it. You don't like them. I don't like them as well when all is said and done. I also realize I don't like much else either and that's the big, key difference. This whole system is absolute shit. It has become a circus no matter which side you're on.

Personally, I think we're better off no longer focusing on one faction or the other and instead trying to view the larger, dysfunctional picture which incorporates so much; otherwise I don't see things getting better. Everyone needs to hold themselves and each other accountable.

Nice to see you haven't read a single thing I've said about tax policy, the role of government, federalism, drugs, trade or healthcare.

At the very core of my domestic political philosophy is a desire to move a lot of the responsibilities given to the federal government to the state level. That is pretty doctrinaire conservative. There would be large federal tax cuts, but fairly significant State tax increases to account for this new reality. People living in Kansas can decide what services they want, versus people living in Nevada versus people living in Massachusetts. And they can pay for them too.

Or how about the role of the family versus the individual, which is at the very heart of conservative philosophy.

No, I'm pretty fricken conservative. The difference is I'm more sophisticated than the pathologically paranoid gun-hugging knuckledraggers who call themselves "conservative" because they're too stupid to realize that being the opposite to the "liburlz" they despise doesn't necesarily make them conservative.
