Did you just assume their gender?

You're not to think you are anything special. You're not to think you are as good as we are. You're not to think you are smarter than we are. You're not to convince yourself that you are better than we are. You're not to think you know more than we do. You're not to think you are more important than we are. You're not to think you are good at anything. You're not to laugh at us. You're not to think anyone cares about you. You're not to think you can teach us anything.

As terry prachett described it with his dwarfs: Just because you don't see it, you could be talking with a female dwarf right now. maybe there are very few differences between males and females as long as you don't look under that kilt.

First reason is money, blizz dont wanna make females just for the sake of it.

Second reason is that telling male and female apart might not be as easy as with mammals.

Maybe they are like the Hutt in Star Wars, they can decide and change their sex as they pleases.

Obviously because Blizzard is trying to push their patriarch agenda on us...

Seriously, how fucking bored do you have to be to come up with a topic like this? I just imagine someone sitting there watching TV or staring at a wall or something and suddenly going "I just realized there are no female Hozen, Jinyu, or Ogres in WoW. I am so triggered right now!"

  9. #109
I think the actual reason is probably the fact that art resources are better spent elsewhere, but you could explain it away super easily if you say they have no sexual dimorphism.

Well, the non-PC but real answer to this is pretty obviously that the Ogres capture females of other species and use them to breed. This is pretty standard in many Fantasy settings.

And, going back into the canon via the chronicles, it is pretty evident why there are no females.

But, I guess we can just sit and argue about it being some sort of privilege thing or some lazy artists or a political agenda. Go you!

I am surprised blizzard haven't implemented female ogres yet. Maybe when they become playable for Horde.... (wishful thinking)
I love Warcraft, I dislike WoW

Unsubbed since January 2021, now a Warcraft fan from a distance

Pretty standard in many fantasy settings, and also incorrect in Warcraft. We have canon references to female ogres.

Same reason there are female-only races (harpies, val'kyr). Because fantasy storylines don't need to have a M/F dichotomy for every single race.

Pretty much this, most NPC/monster races don't crop up often enough to make female models for them as well (Or in cases like murlocs or most undead are too similar to bother), although i think that by now ogres should have had female models, ogres show up in nearly every expansion...

Because they needed to give the professional victims something else to complain about.

From the wow wiki. So, no, there is no "only 1 in 1000 Ogres are women", but rather "Blizz isn't willing to dedicate the resources to making female Ogres"
where did you get this qoute?
it is no where on wow wiki on the ogre page
"Ogre females have not appeared in the games and only a few have been mentioned in the lore. I don't think he meant to reference WoW Wiki, that site has been unreliable for years. Try this. http://wow.gamepedia.com/Ogre#Female_ogres
