i don't like groups like this. they come out against stupid jokes and random pointless shit and try to ruin people's lives over it. they're not a good thing.
They don't do any of those things, they're a non-profit organisation that's spent over 40 years exposing the activities of neo-Nazis, the KKK, white supremacists and other violent hate groups. They're not some mean liberal you saw on twitter.

i'm confused. i thought oath keepers were all about locking down the border. why would one be at odds with an "alt right" person? figures their mindsets would align.

It's like that other time I had an important decision to make.
The far right has always been worse than SJWs at attacking other people's freedom and opinions, they just managed to somehow deflect the attention to the left.

eh, i'd rather the law enforcement handle those things and regular people keep their noses out of it.

groups like this would gladly vote away freedom of speech and thought if they could get away with it. it's a swift spiral from removing the rights of racists to removing the rights of good people. there's people out there just waiting for you to give them an in, a small crack in the door is all they need. when they find it, they'll slither in and then the only way you're free again is fighting for it.

i'm not a fighter, i want things to stay as they are.

You realise that they are not a judiciary or a police force? They literally just publicise the actions of these groups.

yeah, but they influence people to behave like them. they can negatively effect the populace, which in turn start to vote for dangerous policies.

the group itself isn't really a problem, their actions are. they could speak out against these people without wanting them silenced entirely.

they want people silenced. they don't just put out information. they have an agenda they push with it.

there's a way to speak against racists, without calling for their silencing.

So you can provide an example of this?

i've seen them on the news sometimes, talking about confederate flags and other things. i wouldn't really know where to look for videos to link.

but it's just safe to have a critical eye of those that fight racists. it's easy to become something bad for a good cause. our constitutional rights should be amoral, for the most part. if having the freedom to say "the president is a cunt" means that the KKK(one of many potential examples) can also say bad things about blacks, so be it.

They can get things wrong sometimes, and the people they're wrong about pay the price for them being wrong. Maajid Nawaz and Ayaan Hirsi Ali come to mind.
Populists (and "national socialists") look at the supposedly secret deals that run the world "behind the scenes". Child's play. Except that childishness is sinister in adults.

I have no idea what is going on in this video lol.

I'm confused. Isn't he on their side? He's maybe going about it in a different way, but he is still supporting them. Unless he's trolling, but there's no way those people can understand subtle trolling. Maybe they just saw Pepe and thought he was mocking them?

I guess the crazies on both sides turn on you the moment you even slightly deviate from the hive mind.

I never said they were perfect, but of course those are controversial figures and their treatment may well have been perfectly fair.
