The HW jobs were only gated by a few quests, but then they started at 30. So lower level dungeons queues didn't cause much problems? Of course all this stuff going on makes me glad I am still some hours away, because of work, from starting SB.

A new class should not be gated behind having a max level character. Level 50 is acceptable since getting there isn't all that long. Also more people leveling the new classes equals less people trying to do the MSQ.

Umm if people level the new class they do dungeons or worse: run POTD continuously. They also do class scenarios. Unless they have separate instance servers, it won't help much.

It's possible that not the placement of the scenario is a problem, but the length of it. 20 minutes is pretty damn long. considering that an instance needs to be created for every player.

How grindy is FFXIV compared to Legion?

Frontloading both job and MSQ solo scenarios at the beginning was a huge mistake.

Yup I think it would have been better if job scenario would have started at 54 or sth.

If you go into crafting (esp omnicrafting) Legion x 1000

Welp, should've known logging out to head to lunch would be a bad idea. In queue, which went from 590 to 509...then 516...and now 554. I don't think that's how queues are supposed to work...

Do you feel crafting is "necessary" ? In WoW I always went for Engineering for the gadgets that are at least fun, didn't care about the other professions.

You get to be even lazier now since SMN/SCH doesn't have to contend with those items you needed to flip attribute points.

Summoner and Scholar have same base-class, Arcanist, other jobs are independent.

I never changed them anyways, despite having a stack of change attribute thing. >.>

I've spent majority of the day...killing hunts. Lol

You need 250 allied seals per zone to get the max rank mount speed. 250 centurio per zone for HW areas. Have all but one of the HW areas done already, but still have quite a few ARR ones to go. Had I not been spending allied seals on unidentified items the past month or so, I would've easily walked into the xpac with them capped. Oh well.

Oh, on that note: The tiger mount they showed? 3000 A rank kills plus 2000(!) S rank kills. This thing's gonna take forever...I'm right at 700 S rank kills and that's over the span of 2 years.

That first BLM job quest...that was a thrill. Looking forward to getting to 70 for Polyglot/Foul.

There's two upgrade ranks available in ARR and HW zones. The first is from each region's respective MSQ. The second is obtained by hunt seals, as I outlined in the post you quoted.

The second upgraded speed is noticably faster than even the first upgrade, although the first upgrade itself feels like you're going 100 mph faster than our previous ground mound speed.
