Just noticed this this morning. Googled it and people were saying it's NPCScan... but I haven't had NPCScan since Wrath or Cata... and this is a brand new fresh install of the game with only two addons: DBM and Skada. Any ideas?

Disable those two addons and see if it disappears. Re-enable one of them to find out which it is.
Whilst you're at it, get Details instead of Skada.

that is part of the super secret super transmog god mode treasure that will teleport you to your favorite time in wow expansions when it was all joy and fun and adventure....or it could just be the NSA trying to track your terrorist activity in WoW

I had a similar problem. On some wq was the same ring you had. After completing a few of them i noticed that these wq triggered an effect from one of the broken shore towers. I think it was the extra ap or something. It only lasted for the duration of the tower and i never had that happening again.

Funnily enough I saw this earlier on my map after reading this post. Possibly a broken quest objective or something as I only saw it once and then right clicked to check other maps and it disappeared. Originally Posted by DeltrusDisc
