You'd have to live very, very poorly to not be able to save up a game budget or not have a bit of spare money. Maybe on minimum welfare that'd be a problem, but if you have ANY kind of job at all and you struggle to spend 15 $/€, you've probably got worse problems to consider than buying DLC.
No offense meant to you, I just find this argument a bit ridiculous. Maybe a student would have a problem with it, but students really aren't great consumers. But that's definetly the only group, apart from refugee's and people living who are starving, would have a problem saving up for or just buying something for 15 €/$ which they've known would be coming for several months.

And if you can't make that purchase even so, then it really isn't something you should blame the salesman for. Live within your means, within logic and reason.

• My nostalgia for the necromancer will overtake me. I will purchase the DLC for $15.
• I will log into D3.
• Realize I'm playing D3.
• Log out.
• Wait for my friends to get online to powerlevel my Necromancer, then get boosted.
• Play a few rifts with the Necro.
• After about 40mins say "that's cool"
• Log out of Diablo 3 until 2021.

THese are things to which you have no basis in fact as you state them. And even so, you still think that it wouldn't be worth the money, IF there was actually a small amount of people doing all this work.

There is plenty of basis to support the statement that Blizzard put the least amount of people possible on Diablo. And again, no I don't think this ''content'' is even worth 10 dollar.

my guess is, if the Necro is well received (crosses a certain threshold) they will absolutely introduce the druid next, i wouldn't even be surprised if that is the announcement come Blizcon... calling it now

You can also spend $15 somewhere else and get longer entertainment then the movie and this DLC. So once again comparing the two is stupid for many reasons, The main one being they are not relatable and there is more to do then going to the movies.

You're missing the point. It's about comparing reasonable $/hr of different kinds of entertainment. If you don't agree with those comparisons, then the discussion is irrelevant for you.

Some people would say spending $100 at a casino is a waste of money. But, if I spend 4-5 hours there, and get some free drinks/food, then its no different than paying $100 to go to a day long concert venue, or $15 to see a movie.

It's all about what you consider to be a reasonable cost for your entertainment hours. I will easily spend 20-30 hours playing the Necromancer, maybe more if I enjoy the class beyond just leveling a seasonal character to 70 and gearing it out. If I wind up grinding at max level, it could be 100 hours.

I've paid $60 for entire games that didn't last 100 hours and felt it was worth it.

No, this is their last resort to milk this game.
They can make and release a new champ for HoTS almost monthly and that's for free but it took them 1 year (maby more?) to develop a new class for D3 and they're selling it for 15$. No thanks i'd rather buy a cheap game for 15$.

a heros of the storm hero needs 1 look, a skin or two, and some off colours
it needs 5 spells and talents THAT IS ALL
a diablo hero needs 60-70 spells, each with 5 talents, aswell as 30 passive talents, sets and legendaries all made around the char, and balancing needs to be done with all these items so you dont get insane combos
