I mean it kinda has to be Sargeras now right?
KJ dead, Archimonde was the final boss of the last expansion, Argus sat in plain sight. Who else is bigger than KJ

And then it stopped going nicely, which should have made them rethink it. Especially since Old God activity shouldn't have gone unnoticed by them, nor should it have been something that they'd ignore. Given how the plan was simply to get Sargeras there, the difference between Well of Eternity portal and Keystone portal was the speed, the Well plan going nicely still wasn't a reason to not use a superior version of the same plan.
In the book he linked it to Outland, not Azeroth. And really? The Legion, which breathes and lives portal magic never happened to think they could open a portal this way instead of fucking around with magical wells that take forever to charge up?
Then they still had Third War and SWP at least.
Kerrilldank-heika is prepared though. She'll just enter her final form.
During the third war did any of the demons manage to return to Argus with the magically recorded position of Azeroth?
And as for Sunwell Plat, the events there take place after Black Temple, meaning the Legion no longer had it. Cordana tried to return it but was stopped(during the DH campaign i think).
What is tank?
"The basic idea of a tank is well understood. It works like an argument with my mother. The mobs keeps beating on you, and the more you throw it's own shit back at it, the more it focuses on you and hates you. Perplexing enough, this is actually not only your goal, but the mob eventually gives you loot and money when it dies instead of writing you out of its will." (Senotay)
"There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." -- William Shakespeare
For the KJ fight, we had Velen and they were once supposedly at the same power level.
As for Archi, the first time it took the power of wisps and the world tree (growing from a pool made from remains of the Well Of Eternity and a titans essence) and the second time we had one of the most powerful mages with us and he might not have been fully healed, explaining why he wasnt able to grow as large as during WC3.
So...
People give their lifes to close the portal of the Well of eternity.
We stopped the legion in the sunwell.
We gave our lifes and our leaders's life to try close the portal in the tomb.
AND THEN COMES THIS FUCKER AND OPENS A BIG PORTAL DIRECT TO THE LEGION HOMEWORLD
First of all, why would they need to? Secondly, they had a portal through which they entered Azeroth. Even if it wasn't directly linked to Argus, it shouldn't have been too hard to go to their staging ground and then to Argus.
Ah, right. Still, with both its general use as well as its potential, the Legion not sending everything they had to retrieve it when both sides at Black Temple were weakened is the same nonsense as when Deathwing sent randoms to retrieve the Dragon Soul from Thrall instead of getting it himself.
They're the same character so there's no need to.
