So you've found stats that say your country isn't the best, but you don't believe them and try to say socialism is bad? question is, do you think it's bad becuase you are not #1?

America may not be the best. But our best is better than your best.

In Greece, healthcare is free which makes it rank high. However, it is of such low quality, if you have some serious illness, your best chance to survive is to go to some country like U.S for treatment

If this is a ranking about how socialist a country is, you'd think USA would be aiming to be as far down as possible.

    Plenty of work left there!

It's like, the rest of the developed world have horses, while the US has unicorns.

Catch: Unlike the rest of the developed world where everyone from poor to rich at least gets one horse, only the rich in the US gets a unicorn - the rest of the populace don't even have a horse.

Meh, Trump is working on it. He just needs to push through taxing the poor more and removing all healthcare benefits to the middle class and below.

Do a quick search and you can find on the gov pages what the average cost per year is for tuition and rates for loans, starting at 1.3, average 4.5% and going above 7%., and the Swedish site CSN have the rate of loans made as far back as before the 80's for every year.
Nah, I was referring to the original article/title from Garbberg.

You need to learn what socialist means and then not use it in wrong contexts anymore.

Everyone that can get into Harvard is well served by going to Harvard. Pretty much all Harvard grads go onto highly lucrative careers. For low-income people, the cost is substantially defrayed and often nearly free.

The problem isn't Harvard, it's shitty local colleges with low graduation rates.

Well, no, the UK has competitive universities at the top tier, but don't have anywhere near as deep of a pool of great schools. The UK's collection of schools is comparable to California's. I certainly tip my hat to the UK for being the other academically elite country though - they're really the only nation that can plausibly claim to be the equal of the United States. Continental European countries are light years behind - each one only has one or two universities comparable to a dozen or more in the US and UK.
Why do you think local schools are "shitty" as you say they are? Could it be that they have their funding cut all the time?

    What country might that be?

http://www.socialprogressindex.com/ (The site that the top 20 list is based on).

I mean, why scoring high on that list is bad again, looking at the actual metrics being used?

No, it could not be - low-tier private schools are also a waste of money.

More to the point, there are very, very few parts of the American education system that deal with any significant cuts. Spending has absolutely skyrocketed at every level of education in the United States.

I live in in Finland, the "rank 2". Personally I feel we are very anti-communist and a communist being an insult. We pay (no, this isnt the exact number) but around 22% of taxes from every euro we earn. Im in a university for free like others here and I earn about 3000€ a month after taxes in my summertime job. We are a welfare country, but the taxing is a forever existing part of politic arguments, whether it should be increased or lowered.
I dont think people here are anyhow filled with joy because of living in Finland, but most wouldnt change it for any other. But for example, we have a pathetic sized Defence force and we use the tax money as the parliament decides (and the parliament is decided by us who vote). We dont f.e have any effect in any warfare except by judging it in media. We are "weak" but try to keep up if someone decides to attack (see Ukraine). We do have peacekeepers around the world but who doesnt. Some useless info for you from a Finnish guy. Ps. I drink a lot and dislike the idea of following Swedens politics

Really? You redirected me to Canada's education costs to prove some alt-right alternative trend in the US?

Not sure if you can't read or decided to post shamelessly.
