No, freedom is awesome. Maybe they don't have freedom in Latvia, which is a shame.

Oh, I am sure he will learn about them in science class later. Maybe in 6th grade.

No, it is perfectly natural. It occurs naturally in many different species, including humans. Maybe you have yet to take science classes.

I have a feeling homosexuality will be normalised way before it can be "switched off", by which point it might be seen more as a modification like hairstyle rather than an identifying feature.
It will be more useful to find a cure for blind bigotry, than for homosexuality.

What I think is really cool about this. Merkel was against it (according to some news) but was still the one who called for the vote and removed the party discipline for it, because she saw some people wanted it and everyone should decide and not only her. So 'she started a vote' and voted against it. It's like she really cares about democracy.

Doubt that, the whole point of civil partnerships was to equalize tax burdens with straight couples.

No, I quoted you because you wanted to prove the other poster wrong when it came to brother and sister having a healthy child by commenting with "sources required". Don't tell me that wasn't your intention.

If you already knew that it was possible for brother and sister to have a healthy child, why not say "true, but..." instead of "sources required".

Hiding behind rethorical tricks. I'm not impressed by either side of this debate so far.

More that that, she made it clear she does not expect his party to vote along party lines.
