The sun is such a joke of a paper...Its sad how much sway and influence they have. Actually you could probably say that about most of the media in this country :\

It has correctly predicted the general election winner since 1979 though. Gratz Theresa!

I know politicians can't control who endorse them, but still, this shit is hilarious.

Jesus. Now that I've clicked on that, I'm pretty sure I'm on the watchlist here. Damnit, Mittens.

They're all a load of cunts, but we really do need to expel Thatcher's Final Horcrux.

It looks to me that the drunks more than pay their way in tax to cover the cost of their drunkin shenanigans.
You can't seriously be justifying the small number of alcoholics that cost the NHS so much by including the entire tax revenue from everyone who drinks alcohol??? That's some serious mental gymnastics.

Anyway the cost of alcoholism is far higher than that report, a conservative estimate of 10 billion with others having the cost much higher.

It didn't predict it - along with the rest of the private media it made it happen.

The newspapers can sway about 10% of the voters -the rest of the electorate divides along tribal lines.

That may never happen again though-kids don't buy newspapers. It will need to penetrate the digital world in order to continue having an influence.

Yeah that's something we can agree on.

You obviously know very little about Alexa or newspapers if you think those numbers are impressive.

Hahaha teach me, thing is tho they are very impressive numbers for anyone looking for an online presence, despite your salty tears. Many websites, including this one that you grace, can only dream of a ranking like that.

That's the excuse a lot of secret admirers use when caught viewing the.suns pages. Personally the print version hasn't been the same since they took the tits off page 3. Not surprised to see the daily mail ranked at 22 for the UK either, must be the amount of online kool kids looking at it. Certainly the trend is encouraging for strong and stable Theresa. Trying to find anything ranked for the Cobynistas, nah like looking for a needle in a haystack - shows how popular that lunatic is.

You kind of feel that loser has had his best days.

Those are horrible numbers for a newspaper which has consistently been the number 1 selling newspaper in the UK for decades. It is being outperformed by its left-wing rival, the Mirror, online, which sells significantly less physical copies. Both are having their ass kicked by the rabidly insane Daily Mail which is so successful online it has acquired a global reach to the extent that Alexa thinks it is an American publication.

You would expect a national newspaper read by tens of millions of people to be outperforming a random website. That doesn't mean shit. The issue for the Sun is that their offline dominance is not translating to an increasingly online world.

For amusement you might have a look at the Sun's youtube presence. I have personally uploaded gaming videos which have a hundred times the viewership of their best performing material.

Your post is an object lesson in how Corbyn managed to wipe out the government's majority against all expectations.

Corbyn doesn't rely on billionaire newspaper propietors to get his message across. Obviously they are never going to endorse a socialist.

Corbyn appealed through social media directly to people-it was very successful in countering the dominance of the mainstream media.

Weak and wobbly as she goes eh? I guess this is a simple demonstration of the idiocy of your average brexit muppet, somehow that shower of halfwits see this lame duck government as "strong and stable"
You found that selective needle in a haystack I see, good job, you must be pleased. Meanwhile back in the strong and stable real world the latest poll shows, ta dah....

I get the feeling you are missing something here, Corbyn lost.

Losers tend to stick together, Corbyn won't know any successful winners.

Corybn lost, keep repeating that and it might penetrate your left wing echo chamber.

The daily mail does well internationally because of its xenophobia, islamophobia, and general race baiting. It goes down extremely well with less educated right wing Americans and doesn't have the negative connotations of breitbart. They also love the gutter trash stories about Kim Kardashian and similar.

It was a hung parliament. No one won or lost officially.

The Tories are forming a government. That's working out reallly well.....

It isn't racist you know, they hate all kinds of white people also. Almost all of the poor for example, unless they are patting them on the head for endorsing brexit.

Ironically, none of the "benefit scroungers" they periodically demonize come remotely close to stealing as much money as their tax-dodging owners.

I think someone actually made a study in which if you took all money lost through mishandling of benefits (this includes government fuck ups on one end to those actually stealing benefits on the other.) it would barely come up to 5% of how much of the economy is lost through tax dodging.
