Future gave up almost instantly, back to the m+ grind and split clears, obviously they know they have zero chance if guilds like exorsus and method is still on it after 2-3 days.

Regardless they need to do the learning curve on the boss someday. (Unless they want to over-gear or wait for nerf)

Back to the glory days of real hardcore raiding, right?

How is waiting for gear hardcore or challenging? Don't get me wrong Avatar mechanics aren't easy but from watching Alpha's stream at this point Method or Exorsus should have have had mechanics mostly down. Alpha themselves had a few decent pulls and they were nowhere close to a kill.

Also what are considered glory days of hardcore raiding? Pls don't say vanilla cause those bosses, while felt hard back then cause people were bad ( people clicked in top guilds), didn't mix-max as much and didn't have addons like WA, compared to stuff like mythic Archimonde they were a joke.

What does this mean? Avatar has only been up for 3 days so far. The last few non-end boss fights in a raid have always taken 2-3 days to down. This isn't unusual at all.

One could argue they aren't meant to be cleared in a week.

Wiping on near un-killable is so hardcore, right?

They absolutely were not. Pure gearchecks, no way you could kill Kel'Thuzad or Yogg 0 on 1st or 2nd reset. Gearcockblock.

Kel'Thuzad was an interesting case. Guilds were hung up on Four Horsemen for so long figuring out tank gearing and not realizing the centre safe spot that they got eleven resets of gear (almost three months) before even pulling him.

Yogg-Saron also had eleven resets of gear, though guilds were pulling him for two months after their Algalon timer expired.

And there's nothing wrong with that IMO.

    Wut?
4hm required so much gear since taunt could still miss back then, and the warrior tierset improved your chance for taunt to hit by 5% at 4piece.
So most progressing guilds tried to recruit additional warrior tanks and gear them up to 4piece for the increased chance since a resist would basically mean a wipe due to the nature of the fight.

Only thing that displays is 1) guild leadership, 2) individual character.
It's all about endurance and not wanting to kill yourself after thousands of wipes and just patient waiting/worrying what the XYZ guilds might be doing.

If you can outskill the encounter, that to me is a bigger accomplishment than anything else - see Methods Lei-Shen and Archimonde kills.

Blizzard knew Invective was coming some they made very hard encounters to slow them down ! like sisters

Death and Taxes also mentioned the key thing progressing on the fight for them was figuring out about the tiny safe zone in the middle of the room where your Horsemen marks could drop if the bosses were tanked properly.
