Here is my main problem with our supposed hatred of Putin and Russia(its more just fearbait that people accept because its part and parcel to also hating Trump imo). Let's say Putin has killed some of his political enemies, I fail to see how those deaths are somehow so much worse than things like drone strikes which wipe out weddings on 'accident' and all sorts of other stuff which is resulting in far more deaths. A death is a death, I'm tired of how we are so selective in terms of which deaths we want to act morally outraged over. The us and other countries place sanctions on Iraq after they invade Kuwait which kill half a million women and children and we are ok with it. Ya, those half a million people really deserved to die because a crazy general seized power in their country and does stuff other countries disagree with. It makes absolutely no sense. Saddam is still seen as a threat so we invade and 15 years later another half million Iraqis are dead. Those deaths just get swept under the rug like they never happened yet Putin gets actively compared to Hitler by our own politicians because he took Crimea and may be linked to some political assassinations.
