Split raiding did not exist just because people were playing less, no it did not exist because flexible lockouts did not exist and there was only a single difficulty. Alts did not exist because people were lazy, but because you could easily spend 15 hours a day optimizing your main character, mostly farming consumables and stuff in the world, and because it took an insane amount of time to even get a few epic items on your main character.

If you needed 15 hours per day to optimize your character, you simply didn't have a clue what you were doing or were just terrible at doing it in general. Not to mention, there were even 2000 guilds raiding back then, at least not in a competitive setting, keep pulling the numbers though, maybe you'll get it right in the next 20 posts.

99% not gonna happen now tho, think exorsus is using a undergeared boomkin just because they are that good on KJ
And here we see the advantage of seeing the fight before the reset. Method got to gear another boomkin thanks to that.

Exactly, m8. My guild always trying to hit curve - and tried to do champion of frozen wastes etc. We raided 5 days per week in tbc, and now we got curves for 2 hours per week (kids, wifes, jobs, full rl)

you know what happened back in tbc/wrath(before icc) when you world first a boss? You fucked off and had 2 hour raids for 4-5 months and nothing else to do. You know what happens now? They reclear it on mythic with their alts multiple times along with heroic still possible. Along with running mythic + on 4-5 toons. As you can see you clearly have no idea.

your guild was just terrible back then. Your older now and have played longer and the info to find out how to play your class properly is more easily accessible. Along with simpler rotations and less buttons to press then tbc/wotlk. Thats why you can get away with 12 hours in a casual guild. But don't kid yourself that there isn't more effort being spent on the upper end today then back in vanilla/tbc/wrath

So how much time would a guild below top 20 guilds without 5 mages 4 rogues would take to download Avatar????? 3 months????<<

all people who said no one would watch stream, I have to admit I dig watching it so far, a lot more than I expected. I approve WF streaming. Not that anyone gives a shit. That Alpha wipe was rad to watch.

Won't happen. Avatar will require significant nerfs for guilds that can't class stack.
