Who knows. Maybe "this person helped a country commit an act of war against us" will become a precedent. Think about it. It makes sense. What crime would, say, an Allied Commander get if they told the Japanese exactly when to launch Pearl Harbor? Because I'd say it's treason.
"Wait, the attack or the movie?"
EITHER.
But once again, that cart is several blocks before that horse. This is just legal terminology, the actual use in context isn't on the radar.
Mueller bout to go Oprah on the Trump Administration this Fall;
I recommend to the DoJ that you get and indictment, and you get an indictment, and you get an indictment, YOU ALL GET AN INDICTMENT!!!

Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.
You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

I have just watched The Late Show with Stephen Colbert
Donald Trump Jr. Is His Own 'Deepthroat'
on Youtube and oh boy I haven't laughed so hard for a long time.
I think it's funny how the shills leave out about 90% of the details of a situation in defense of Dump and his team doing illegal things. You sound like what I imagine a really really bad lawyer sounds like.
"Ladies and gents of the jury, holding a knife is not illegal."
"But seventeen eye witnesses saw your client stab and kill another man with that knife while holding it. The blood of the victim is on the knife and your client's clothes, and he was caught from 3 angles on security cameras doing it."
"... KNIFE HOLDING IS NOT ILLEGAL!"
2014 Gamergate: "If you want games without hyper sexualized female characters and representation, then learn to code!"
2023: "What's with all these massively successful games with ugly (realistic) women? How could this have happened?!"
Can't decide whether this excuse is more dumb than the "he didn't get any info so no crime was committed" excuse.
COP: "You're under arrest for armed robbery."
MASKED AND ARMED MAN: "But officer, I didn't know that there actually isn't a giant Scrooge McDuck money bin here at the New York Stock Exchange so I didn't get to steal anything."
COP: "Oh, well, carry on then."
Exactly. The US hasn't "officially been" at war since:
Japan - > Treaty of San Francisco, September 8th 1951
Germany -> Final Settlement with Respect to Germany, September 19th 1990, the effective legal end of World War II.
It was never "officially" at war with the USSR, Iraq, Iran or anybody else. Even Al Qaeda.
