Okay, if you see it like I agree. Still, it is common sense to count the time starting from when the raid became available. Otherwise, it is not really comparable since it becomes arbitrary how to measure the days a boss lived. Imagine back then Method would have killed Majordomo two days after Paragon but then killed Ragnaros only 1 day after Paragon. Technically, they spent one day less on Ragnaros, so how many days did Ragnaros live then, the amount of days it took the world first guild Paragon or the amount of days it took for the guild that needed the fewest days?

There are many other scenarios where this kind of view just leads to more questions instead of answers. That is why most people in the community count days from the day the instance opens.

Ya, brought a lot of drama during the race. In reality some bosses were harder on 10 and some others on 25. Also the difficulty was related to different mechanics depending on size.

Yeah Chinese guild Dream killed it in 10-man and then Paragon in 25-man, Paragon went to China for some nerd trip and out came Dream Paragon.

Actual progression of Alakir was not immediately after conclave.

Its weird metrics since each tier has different specific details on it. One of em would be the boss bugged so to make it simple just count since day 1 mythic is open and be done with it.

As already stated by Xeh.-, it does not really make sense to measure the longetivity of a boss the way you do it. That is why it is common sense to count the time starting from the day the instance opens.
