Hahaha. Yeah the Chanel is pretty common along with people that name themselves or kids after something expensive, regardless to having the experience.

I think names like say Brenda or Megan get put in there too, but mostly because of a want to seem average girl next door.

Why not? I understand the association some of the names but some of the names that the OP listed are really common names depending on where you are in the world.

Well if you say it fast it sounds like Erika which is probably the intent, not that it makes the name any less idiotic though.

Surely they must think they sound like stripper names?
    They are not stripper names.
They are trashy names poor people somehow think are nice. ( just like how they think adidas trainers are proper pants)
Poor people tend to end up as a stripper faster.

Same in Holland with names like Kelly, Ramona, Samantha, etc.

Since when is Kyle a stripper name?

I knew a Kyle in high school. He was in no way a stripper.

I was about to ask that. I guess I learn something new every day.

Kelly and Samantha are trashy names? I know they are pretty popular names in the States, but never thought of them as trashy.

So I guess the question is: What makes a name trashy?

I'm sure everyone will answer this differently, since it's purely opinion based.

How is kyle a stripper's name? That's like, one of the most bland male names ever.

The only names from that list that sound like stripper names are Destiny and Crystal, or the really obscure ones like Chardonnay or Porsche.

Also, the more obscurely a name is spelled, the more it sounds like a stripper name.

They might be aiming for Portia and just pick the wrong spelling? Though interestingly Porsche was named after a guy. Surname though. Chardonnay is a place, but I doubt that's what they're going for.

Apparently any name that isn't a traditional bible name is a stripper name...

Commodity i guess. Most people here know a trashy Kelly, from a poor family with bad manners. Same for the other names.

    You're really overthinking this.

Some of those names are a bit silly, and would be unsuitable as names, sure.
But "stripper names"? That's a strange claim IMO.

We know where your mind is, heh.
