I've got news for you. Its 2017... a woman needing man's validation of what looks good or what doesn't... or having to beg for money from her spouse... is a weird idea.

Perhaps, maybe (I know its a long shot) she brings her husband to the mall because she wants to spend time with him. Woah! Mind = BLOWN!

There is just so much in that seemingly innocent statement alone... that portrays your own ideology, and is not congruent with social climate.





It was 50% joke... and 50% serious.

Looking "pretty" isn't a priority anymore.

Getting a man (husband or not) to approve of something she is wearing is also... irrelevant.

Also OP said whether or not she "looks fat" which again equating fat to ugly... and thin to pretty is not very PC in 2017.

It happens all the time, and has nothing to do with submission, insecurity or any kind of dependence, so the present year means absolutely nothing. Its all about asking the opnion of someone you trust and like. You know, those basic things on human relationship. You should try someday.

For the record though... I've been married 10 years, and have 2 kids and respect and love my wife dearly.

It is great that both a man... or a woman want to look good for their SO. At the same time it also doesn't really matter what they think either as long the individual wearing said clothing is comfortable in it.
