Would you quit WoW for a Diablo mmo?

With all of the recent evidence pointing to the Diablo team creating an mmo and with WoW wrapping up a majority of its main story lines, would you jump ship to the hypothetical Diablo MMO? Personally I'd give it a shot, I've never been a huge fan of Diablo because it's an arpg but the lore and setting of the game would make for an amazingly dark world. Assuming it's running on a much better graphics engine than both WoW and D3 and takes influence from WoW while improving on its major issues, it could be a huge success.

What are you talking about the lore is awful in Diablo. They don't build upon much if anything and just piece together nonsense with each patch/expansion. Diablo doesn't need strong lore in a hack and slash game people don't pay much if any attention to that. For and mmo it is much more important. You can only go with the fighting the evils of hell story line so much before it is just pure nonsense. WoW has muliple sources of heroes and villian, Diablo is very one note.

Unless Blizzard is ready to toss WoW in the bin and completely give up on it there is no way they are spending the money and time it would take to make another mmo that would have to compete with their own game. Nevermind the fact that WoW is still a money making beast for them even with the mmo market dying off. With the genius of the tokens they now have found a way to get people to play WoW and in some form pay for it so they can use tokens to get other games or features at a mark 25% mark up.

You do know that Diablo has multiple books right? The lore is vast in game too. Yes it's a hack and slash but there is TONS of lore.

Diablo 3 is already kind of an MMO.... So no, i don't really need another MMO that is just a tweaked version of D3.... Give me D4 instead and i am game

Not that shows up in the games though. I highly doubt people playing D3 do too much reading about the game. Sure there is a niche of players that do both but they are far from the majority. Either way using WoW as example they had multiple stories developed in previous games and books on top of all of that. Diablo just falls short for any sort of mmo expansion.

I'd quit any MMORPG if one was released with the design philosophies of old. If it's just another speed run showered in gear loot grinder I'll pass.

While Diablo2 was fun, there is no way in hell I would quit WoW for a Diablo MMO. It wasn't even remotely as engaging or fun.

No interest in any further Diablo honestly, I got sick of D3 pretty quickly. It was a cool nostalgia moment but I'm not up for it again.

I quit WoW for an Elder Scrolls MMO. I'd be happy to give Diablo a try, though I doubt it could become my main.

Because blizzard simply wouldn't continue both as they would be competing in the same genre canabalizing the fan base of each other as majority of gamers are young and have limited income, it's a small percentage that would play both yet alone afford both.
