That or he'd be in Winterfell, but instead of wearing black Stark furs he'd be wearing this and would just powerwalk around saying "FOOK THE LANNISTAHS"

Sadly the bland music of Ed Sheeran is inescapable in the UK. You will hear it somewhere and see the wierd ginger prick. He headlined Glasto ffs.

I'm hoping the build on this, replace Dany with Kim Kardashian like they swapped out the ugly Dario for the debonair guy. Get Jackie Chan in to play Jon Snow, and the Rock to be the Hound. It was that immersion breaking, he might of well as been in his hoody singing nonsensical songs with Nike airs on. Then Ayra should have given him a coke a cola and comment on its great taste.

    Garbage.

The way to do it was like the ailing rockstars they throw in to crowd scenes as an easter egg, with masks on or as white walkers. So nerds can freeze the screen and post about it but the rest of us don't have to suffer.

LOL yeah I imagine the effect was tenfold for you guys across the pond. Though alot of people in the US seemed to recognize him too.

But seriously whatsup with that Glastonbury appearance? I saw a clip of it and he's trying to pump up the crowd with a borderline acapella, lol.

I can relate though. For instance I like a very niche style of EDM music, so it would be like Bieber or Ariana Grande making a surprise appearance to do vocals. No. Fucking. Thanks.

One of the best parts about this music is it takes me FAR away from the mainstream.

The purpose wasn't about trying to delay as much as possible, but rather introducing storylines that have an impact on the story. A Season and a half extra, max. Something laid out beforehand, because it's fairly clear they've been flying by the seat of their pants.

At this point you've repeatedly attributed to my statements things I didn't say. I get argumentum ad absurdum, but you've strayed into strawman territory repeatedly. And I think it's because you've misunderstood intent. Again, the point isn't to drag this out. Had they added the storylines I mentioned, it would've added another season. Another season of easy conversion instead of having to work from scratch. Giving Martin more time to have had downstream material more fleshed out as well. (Particularly since they're not constrained to waiting only on a book, but can get chapters as they're completed.) That's it.

Your money argument is oddly conceived. They wouldn't be making this if it was running at a deficit. They wouldn't be thinking of 4-5 spinoff projects if it was not profitable. An extra season is extra cost, yes. It's also more revenue. An extra season wouldn't suddenly be magically more expensive.

And yes, actor age can get awkward. That would also require forethought and be taken care of through casting. Had they casted slightly younger, the actors would have grown into the ages they are now. Less problematic.

That's the subtext for her. They have no clue that she's an assassin and seem genuinely curious as to how she survived this long alone. There's no way that their motivation could be immediate self-protection seeing as they don't know who she is. Although I think you're right in the general sense. ("be nice to people and they won't kill you in your sleep") That's probably what you meant, though. (?)

Also, I was referencing his first sentence and not his second paragraph. I've edited for clarity since it obviously wasn't clear. I should've been more complete in my answer the first time. Sorry for the ambiguity.
Ya i was talking more in general. Plus for all they knew there could have been 30 of her friends in the woods with bows ready to murder them if they looked at her wrong.

Also i will never forgive D&D for lame death of Barristan and complete bullshiting Stannis character. Their bias toward Jon and Dany so f*cking annoying.
Like that other poster said that probably would been 10 if not more seasons for just the first 5 books, that or far more episodes per season, either way more actors. Actors cost more every year and get bored the cost would be huge.

Dawn is a bastard sword in the show not a one hander, granted its a greatsword in the books

Barristan kills ~15 men, without his armor, as an old man, he went out like a bad ass. If you think Stannis wont end up being the red herring for Jon in the books as well you haven't been paying attention.

Why is for some people the most important criteria of their music choice that it is only listened to by a minority? Is there some urge to feel special and different?

I listen to certain music because I like the music itself, no matter if it's some number one song or something only a few people find enjoyable.

Well, the general preconception (which isn't too far off the mark) is that if it's good enough to be popular, it's been broadened and watered down to the point where it's palatable for the masses. There are always acts which transcend the label of "pop" though and are popular on top of being ridiculously good, like Michael Jackson (despite being labelled the 'King of Pop') - but those acts are few and far between. I can't think of one since Michael Jackson, really. Even bands like Nirvana weren't society-wide phenomenons, and the "equivalent" of MJ now, Beyonce, is someone whose music I wouldn't recognize if it was played on a radio. I've never been a pop fan, but I know probably a dozen MJ songs.

Edit: As an example: I've heard of Ed Sheeran. I know he's a musician. I know this because I work and have colleagues and you hear generic music all day long. I wouldn't have known the dude on GoT this past weekend was him until it was pointed out to me, nor could I tell you any of his songs even though I've probably heard them in my office.

I prefer when cameos are more hidden and you might not even realise till you hear it from some trivia bullshit but it seems like people were more annoyed with the ed scene because they thought the scene was pointless which was odd because it was very obvious it's an important scene for arya's arc.

    Episode 1 / Jeremy Podeswa

She walks up the steps to the keep, and we follow her through the building until she reaches Stannis' old War Room. She looks out the window at the land ahead that used to belong to her family. Jon leaves Ghost at Winterfell, where he stays all season.

    Episode 3 / Mark Mylod

Jorah reunites with Dany at Dragonstone.
Jon receives a raven telling him that Bran and Arya are at Winterfell.
Jamie, Bronn, Tyrion and Davos have a secret meeting at some point where Tyrion tries to persuade them to surrender to Dany, which Jamie ignores. Unclear if this happens before or after Dany ambushes the Lannister army. (Footage has been captured of Peter Dinklage and Liam Cunningham filming together, appearing to be preparing a boat to leave the beach. This might be them preparing to leave for the meeting. Another boat-beach scene has been captured filming, again including Tyrion and Davos, but also Gendry!)

    Episode 6 / Alan Taylor
The party arrives at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea by boat (though it's likely they leave Dragonstone during episode 5). Tormund is there, with The Hound, Beric and Thoros in the dungeon. Davos stays behind while Jon takes The Hound, Beric, Thoros, Tormund, Jorah and Gendry wight hunting.(Dany and Tyrion say farewell to Jorah, Jon, Davos and Gendry as they load onto a boat)

    http://watchersonthewall.com/game-th...land-season-7/
The team is attacked by the Night King's army, including a wight polar bear. The bear kills Thoros (apparently a slow death). (Jon, Gendry, Thoros, Sandor, Tormund, Jorah and Benjen have been spotted in locations confirmed for scenes beyond the wall.)

They are surrounded on an island on a frozen lake and are nearly overcome when Dany and her dragons show up. She flies most of the team back to Eastwatch, but Jon is left behind. (Set photos have been taken where it looks like they're preparing to film a scene on an island within an icy lake.)
    http://watchersonthewall.com/game-th...ason-7-return/
    http://watchersonthewall.com/exclusi...f-hill-quarry/
Jon is almost killed, but Coldhands/Benjen arrives and sends Jon off with his horse while continuing to fight the horde. Jon watches Benjen swarmed by undead as he rides, half dead, to safety.
Viserion is killed and raised as the Night King's mount.
Jon offers to lay down his title as KITN if Dany and her forces will help against the WWs. This scene is private.

    Episode 7 / Jeremy Podeswa
Sansa sentences Littlefinger to death, which Arya carries out.
Meeting at the dragonpit with basically everyone. They demonstrate the reality of the white walkers and it terrifies Cersei (apparently the Mountain[or the Hound] chops up the wight and it keeps moving, Jon shows them the only way to kill it is with dragonglass or fire). She tells them she will send forces to help defeat the undead, but admits to Jamie she was lying. She wants the undead to clear out as many of her enemies as possible. Disgusted, Jamie begins to ride North. Likely happens episode 7. (Cersei, Tyrion, Dany, Jon, Jorah, Varys, Messandei, Qyburn and The Mountain all filmed together at Italica! WotW has confirmed the scene involves bringing a wight into the Dragonpit as proof of the White Walkers.)
    http://watchersonthewall.com/game-th...lica-spoilers/
    http://watchersonthewall.com/game-th...ation-details/
Tyrion takes a moment to talk to Cersei alone after the Dragonpit parlay.
Cersei awakens in a bed soaked with blood. The general consensus is that she miscarries.
Sam and Bran figure out Jon's heritage. He is apparently a legitimised Targaryen named "Aegon".
Jon and Dany have sex for the first time on a boat headed North.
The Wall falls at the end of the episode. The Night King attacks the Wall with the reanimated Viserion. He now breathes blue flame.

    Uncertain chronologically:
Cersei believes she is pregnant again with Jamie's child. She has Qyburn examine her. Cersei does not hesitate in telling Jamie. Likely happens within the first couple episodes. (I kind of hope she just has a tumour or something)
Arya uses Walder Frey's face to hold a banquet and poison his sons. Makes sure the women are dismissed, first. Will happen in the first couple episodes.
Dorne and High Garden get trashed within the first couple episodes by the Lannisters.
Euron kills 2 of the Sand Snakes, imprisons Ellaria and makes her watch as Tyene dies a slow death from poison. (Euron kills at least one of the Sandsnakes.)
    http://watchersonthewall.com/euron-m...lming-caceres/
    http://watchersonthewall.com/latest-...poiler-report/
Euron's fleet destroys Yara's and he takes her prisoner. Theon abandons her, jumps overboard and is rescued by some Iron Born. (Euron captures one of the Greyjoy siblings.)
    http://watchersonthewall.com/latest-...poiler-report/
Dany torches some Westerosi lords (including Sam's father and brother).
Tyrion persuades Dany that most of the people who would die in a direct dragon attack on Kings Landing would be innocent.
Jorah and Sam meet in Oldtown and find a way to cure his Greyscale.
Tyrion spends most of the season advising Dany.
Tyrion plans an attack on Casterly Rock involving a secret sewer entrance he used to use to sneak whores into the castle.
Arya encounters Nymeria on her way to Winterfell. Must happen within episodes 1-3, maybe early episode 4.
Tyrion has at least one scene trying to convince Jon that Dany is the best choice for Westeros. Unclear if this is before or after the scene where Jon actually meets her. Likely episode 3, possibly episode 4.
Jon and Theon meet, Jon telling Theon that if it wasn't for what he did for Sansa, he'd be dead. Likely happens episode 3, but could happen episode 4. (Jon and Theon will meet at Dragonstone.)
    http://watchersonthewall.com/zumaia-day-2/
    http://watchersonthewall.com/dolorou...lers-season-7/
Jamie travels to Highgarden and Olenna drinks poison. The claim is this happens when the Lannister armies sack High Garden. She admits to having killed Joffrey, and Jamie allows her to drink the poison. Jamie returns to King's Landing in time for the dragonpit meeting.
The Dothraki and Dany attack the Lannister army on their way back from the Reach. Jamie and Bron are both there. Despite the Lannister army having a giant anti-dragon spear gun designed by Qyburn, they are defeated. Bron saves Jamie from a dragon, and the two manage to escape. Likely episode 4 or 5. Jon remains at Dragonstone during this battle, as he is not aligned with her yet. (Might be the "ambush" scene we've heard about that includes a Lannister. Castings have required a large number of horses and extras who seem to fit the description of Dothraki.)

    http://watchersonthewall.com/new-rep...oilers-galore/
    http://watchersonthewall.com/game-th...gs-fresh-news/
Jon isn't afraid of Drogon and pets him on Dany's return from the battle, which Drogon allows. This surprises Dany. Likely episode 4 or 5.
After Dany's attack on the Lannisters, Jon realises that what he needs to do is provide proof of the Undead Army. Likely episode 4 or 5.
Jorah doesn't care for Jon initially, but they warm up to each other pretty quickly. Includes a scene where Jon offers Longclaw back to Jorah, who refuses it.
Sam, Gilly and baby Sam leave Oldtown in episode 5 for Winterfell, but no claims that they actually make it there. Though he DID say "Sam and Bran figure out Jon's heritage" and that Gilly figures out Rhaegar's marriage status. Does this mean that Sam and Bran TOGETHER figure it out when Sam and Gilly reach Winterfell? Unclear.
Arya and Brienne spar, but Brienne is in attendance at the dragonpit scene. So either Brienne separates from the main group and returns to Winterfell (VERY quickly) AFTER the dragonpit meeting, or she doesn't join Jon and Davos initially to Dragonstone. She likely meets up with them at some point after they've left the Wall with the Wight. So the sparing likely happens in episode 4 or 5, and Brienne leaves Winterfell later.
There will be a flashback scene to Rhaegar and Lyanna's wedding.
Littlefinger tries to play Arya and Sansa against each other, using the letter Sansa wrote to Robb (at the behest of Cersei and Littlefinger) to swear fealty to Joffrey. Sansa figures out she's being played with Bran's help.

I maybe missing something. But as someone who had no idea who he was or that he was in that scene until after I had seen it.. I thought he did a good job acting... the fact that I had no idea he wasn´t an actor should vouch for that.

As an aside... has anyone seen the movie Brimstone with Kit Harrington? talk about the opposite thing.. his name is all over the movie, but his part is like 3 mins and barely even involved in the storyline.

The better one is from the spanish leaker on there who was accurate last season saying. Gilly uses a scroll/book for her reading practice from the banned books Sam steals that says. Rhaegar divorced Elia and married Lyanna thus Making Jon a legitamite Targarian and giving him a better claim to the throne than Dany.

    Its popular because:

1 - It based on ASoIaF

2 - You know Justin Bieber popular too. However it doesn't make his "music" any good.

They rushing show not because of actors. They rushing because D&D get tired of it.

Funny thing - originally show was oriented for those small percentage of book readers.

No doubt that A Song of Ice and Fire had a certain fanbase before the TV show, but most of the show viewers never read the books. It is closer to reality to say that ASoIaF has become popular because of Game of Thrones. Which means that D&D are not doing such a bad job afterall.

Nope. ASoIaF is not typical medieval fantasy - its cruel, unpredictable and mature reading. D&D made show based on it - it's not like they made great show. They just used fresh and new idea for TV shows. After they got good watching base they fucked up story and go stupid fanfiction mode. GoT become popular around 3rd season.
