What do you guys think? 10 months? A year? A little over a year?
Id say 10 months
9 months. Though I desperately hope for only 6.
8-10 months. I figure it will drop somewhere between mid-November (right after Blizzcon) to early January (if they can't get it out before ~early December I doubt they'll drop it in the middle of the holidays) and I think the next expansion is mid summer-early fall.
Not a bad guess, I assume a lot will be based on when they get the 8.0 beta out. If they release ToS raid around Dec/Jan and get the beta out around Nov, 6-7 months would be plausible.

By raid releases so far, it'll probably drop somewhere around end of nov/early dec, jan is a bit late for the current schedule (~5 months after last raid)
Given the horrendous times that we had to have last raids in other expansions, I'd guess at least a year since they haven't even announced plans for the next expansion.
preferably 9 months.

I'll say 4-5 months tops

5-8 months, I would believe. (hoping for 5 max)

13-14 months, that's how long it usually lasts.
The usual time between final tier and pre patch is 12-14 months. I think 10 months is realistic but less than that isn't. The next expansion won't release until September 2018.
It would be, you're right. I only put that there to allow for the fact that if the raid isn't fully ready by the first or second week of December they'll likely delay it to avoid the WF race happening over the holidays when both they and others are off work, doing other stuff, etc.
Before someone starts the annual whining about holiday interrupts... it doesn't matter what any one here thinks. The fact is that Blizzard tends to have people off etc over the last 2 weeks or so of December and doesn't ship much during that time.
The rest of you seem to be ignoring history. They never drop beta at announce (and announce will be Blizzcon), usually there's a few months between announce and beta. Expansions tend to be around 24 months give or take a bit. If you're expecting 17-18 months or 28-30 you're going to have to show logic for that.
So, yeah, . Figure announce at Blizzcon, 7.3.5 on December 5th/6th (first week of December). Beta in late winter (Feb?), 5 months of beta, prepatch in July. That's 8 months of the Argus raid/last patch.
We're only a month into ToS. They're still well within their window for expansion announcements without patch 7.3 lasting a year.
Blizzard's ideal wait time is probably 6 months, as that's what they've said is their aim for most raid tiers. While they've been better about content releases this expansion, I'm still skeptical they'll reach it. My guess would be 8-9 months.
From start to finish. A rough estimate.
Well get a follow up raid after Argus, something small like ToV. Basically just to tie up any lose ends, keep players attention, and to help transition into the new xpac. I'm guessing that will be very early Q1 2018. Once that's done, Legion will effectively be over, and all attention and resources will be directed towards the Old Gods xpac.
We are 11 months into Legion. 2 more months we can expect Argus to come out. 2 months after that we'll see the last raid. Give that 6 months and then we'll see 8.0 pre expansion content.
7.3 patch late next month, Argus raid in mid-November. I don't expect new xpac until at least next summer, so 9/10 months. I expect other non-raid content to pop up between Argus raid and xpac though.
