I raided till WotlK so dont tell em what i am used to and i started in Vanilla.
Just that i take LFR over any raiding content these days makes me spoiled? maybe you should think about all of the community paying sub fee for blizzard to create your mythic content that only 10% do so what ppl are spoiled...

And there where not alot of catch up mechanics.
And i would not say 10m guilds where a catch up mechanic in WotlK because guilds where very hardcore into 10m content back then.

Catch up mechanics in ToC/ICC era:

Pit of saron heroic (232 gear)
forge of souls heroic (232 gear)
VoA 10/25 (max 264 gear)

Exactly this. Cutting the legendary quests (as an example) out from MoP and WoD is unreasonable, in my opinion.

Cross realm is kind of bad at the moment due to addon abuse. I've never felt the game was more unstable than it is now.

I would imagine a game that's more than 10 years old, where new stuff keep getting added and added, eventually scallability, stability, structure and balance will become an issue. Talking from a pure game-engine point of view.
