edit: It's in your fucking hiring paperwork and contract.

People on the right had no problem saying "well businesses and private people can do what they want!" when it came to arguing about being able to discriminate against LGBTs but suddenly it's so wrong when it's white people on the receiving end?
A bit of a disclaimer here, a company can fire you for any reason, unless it's a discriminatory reason. But what falls under discrimination is firing people for a passive trait that they cannot control - skin color, eye color, hair color, general ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc.

What a company CAN fire you for is your life choices and what you do on the job. Do drugs? They can fire you for that. Assaulted someone (even outside of company hours)? You're outta here. Advocate racial purity and are an all around hateful bigot? Say goodbye to your job.

Yeah most employers have it right there in the contract that you're not allowed to do or say certain things while employed or they reserve the right to terminate you. Hate speech and such are generally part of that.

If what's being done is truly illegal, then they can sue the people who turned them in. The company still reserves the right to terminate your employment with no recourse.

    See the difference?

What the hell has happened to this world when you have people on forums and social media treating Nazis and the KKK as a legitimate political group. Even if you lean right you should be strongly disavowing them.

Except the only people who actually use this scale are those who know nothing about ideologies. Collectivism is not limited to economic policies. It is by real definition authoritarian in the sense that it's forced, both economical and social. You don't have different opinions in a collectivist system, and if you do, you are excluded (Sweden) or killed (Venezuela).

I know, right? It is like these racists expected no consequences for being socially unacceptable.

And it's time to do this to any liberal rally too, start hunting down photos, finding their names and reporting them to their jobs and families.
Two can play at this game, and all its going to do is drastically increase tensions, ruin peoples lives and make them far more willing to do very bad things.

Don't mistake me for being on the side of the Neo-Nazi's, the guys holding up the nazi flags should have been flogged.

So when people with leftish opinions are discriminated as "communists" or Muslims as Terrorists, it's their own fault, because national security.
If someone gets a condition and may be sick more often than others, it's ok to let them go because economy and "why should others pay for them".

But if someone openly says it's good when certain people die, a private company should not be allowed to evaluate the interests of one racist against his co-workers'? It's freedom of speech since they didn't do anything and words can't harm anyone? Makes sense...

Some people should decide whether they want to regulate freedom of speech or not.

I don't think the political compass is particularly useful for determining someones ideas. When I did, it seemed to be very US centric.

People don't mind if you're support liberalism, socialism, conservatism or anything of those.
People mind if you support Nazism, because Nazism is a sick ideology that started both the biggest war ánd genocide in our history.
It destroyed millions of families and an entire continent ended in ashes.
I'm pretty confident the left supports literal white genocide, fascist policy's like hurting or banning people from saying "offensive things"
Many examples of people, even the young turks guy reading off things like "white people will lose the majority by the year blah blah" and people cheering, plus all of the democrats policy's always seem to be anti-white pro-everyone else.

And I agree, the neo-nazi idiots need to be maken an example of, but I think it's the right that needs to do it.
Neo-Nazis should be kicked out of rallys by fellow rally members.

Usually the right for dignity of the person you insult weighs more than your freedom of speech in those countries. The freedom of the one man, versus the dignity of his black or muslim colleagues who feel threatened, versus the interests of the company, who sees its corporate identity misrepresented.

Of course a democracy should protect minorities from discrimination, but only if their opinion is not against the constitution. Maybe the American one is a bit funny there (I really don't know!), but usually it goes something like "The dignity of man is inviolable. To respect and protect it shall be the duty of all public authority.".

Your freedom ends right where the others' starts.

Wow. You saying that someone know nothing of ideologies, while defending Nazi's "because the Left made them do it". That has to be some kind of record for most Ironic statement of the week.

Honestly, your made-up definitions are shit, they are of no interest to anyone sane.

Additionally, left and right mean different things in different countries. So on an international forum such as this, it often gets mixed up in discussion because what is left in the US, could be the Right somewhere else.

Which is why I rarely use terms such as 'left' or 'right'. They are basically meaningless in a global discussion.

The questions are so-so, the actual compass with the two axis system however, is good.

How do you accurately calculate where someone is on it? That's what I'm talking about. You're gonna need thousands of questions, if not more, for an accurate assessment of where someone would end up.

It's common for a business to terminate your employment if your behavior reflects poorly on the business, alienates stockholders/clients, or makes it difficult for you to work with your coworkers. Being an out and open neo-Nazi hits all three buttons, especially if your employer has a mission statement promoting diversity at the workplace.

People are surprised a business will cut ties to avoid the damage to their reputation?

That is what freedom of speech is all about.
