Is saying "all right wingers are fascists" the same as "all muslims are terrorists"? Both are wrong generalisations. However it seems to appear the first one is never frowned upon, and the latter one is. Especially on these forums.

How is that? Isn't is a tiny bit hypocritical to call all right wingers fascist because they generalise, while at the same time your doing the exact same thing? How is it different from the right wingers saying that all muslims are terrorists or all mexicans are criminals and rapists?

This is what happens when there's too much divisiveness in the culture, though. I identify as primarily left-wing, but I don't think most right-leaning people are fascists at all. That statement doesn't even make sense. In US politics, right-wing people tend to just be conservatives, which isn't entirely a bad thing.

But since the majority of people can't seem to see past their TV or their chosen propaganda website, everyone who doesn't agree with you is the enemy. Lefties are SJW snowflake communists who don't want to work and want the government to give them free stuff, and Righties are fascist nazi KKK racist homophobes who want to blitzkrieg your rights and have a second holocaust. Blah blah blah.

What's even funnier is that both sides are coming for the moderates now, too. It's like they both want to shame everyone into "picking a side" so everything becomes as awful as possible.

I think this post not only /threads this, but also /threads and TL;DRs literally every political post until the entire system changes.

This is Politics in 2017. You're either a SJW/BLM/Feminazi or a Fascist/Nazi/Racist. If you're neither (like a sensible human being), you're seen as the opposing side to both sides.

Wish the bolded part was much clearer. This is what the "left" was trying to tell the right wing for a long time, while being called PC and SJW. Besides, if you are talking about the latest threads after the Charlottesville, then you are wrong in your assumption that all right wing members are being called fascists. Members of KKK, other racial hate groups or those openly associate themselves with them are being called fascists and racists, which they are.

The people branding all Muslims terrorists, also have the sort of black and white views which brands every other group by the example of the few. Women, non-whites, non-Christians and so on. Branding all right-wingers the same way, makes you closer to alt-right mentality than you might be comfortable with.

Talk about selective memory... Tons of alt-righters frequent these forums. The issue they have, is that they tend to stand for opinions and air those opinions meaning they get bans.

The far left (which if we're honest is mainstream liberalism in the west now) also seems to be very cosy with radical Islamic groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR. I'm seeing a pattern.
