They do not. Only ones to benefit from Jaina's trait are Jaina and Abathur clones of Jaina.

I love the flavour in his talents. The ice spire and the shade are pretty awesome and fit his kit

In wc3 he had frost nova, frost armor, dark ritual and death and decay. 2 of these are missing. Do not use literally if you don't mean literally.

edit: personally i would have liked a specialist. Then again it would have a lot of similarities with Xul.
He used Chains and Shadow Fissure in his WoW fight

Maybe read where I said "WC3/WoW" before being petty and pedantic.

I like being petty and pedantic. Arthas does not have defile and holy light at the same time. My point being its not wc3 kel'thuzad nor the wow one which were quite different wholes. I don't really have anything against this iteration, was just hoping a character leaning more towards warcraft 3 version.

Paladin Arthas, Death Knight Arthas and Lich King are three completely different characters with different skillsets. There are plenty of ways to compare characters, but regardless of how you interpret it - Kel'Thuzad before becoming a lich was a powerful necromancer under influence of Ner'Zhul (just like any necromancer), after his resurrection he became a powerful lich (and gained control over powerful frost magic). So yeah, a living version of Kel'Thuzad could pretty much be a reanimator with powerfu buffs for his summons and curses for enemy, but he is in his "lich" iteration, where he is quite different and more powerful than he used to be - the only thing that was left of him is his strategic mind, which is still intact in the Nexus

I was talking about wc3 lich. His ultimate was death and decay which made him flatten high health buildings fast while his other kit focused on slowing enemies keeping allies safe. Obviously this isn't the case in the wow boss fight. Those were the differences i was talking about.

I would argue that he was used to just remove footmen and some ranged units from the battlefield every 8 seconds thanks to frost nova, he was used as a unit killer, but not to keep anyone alive except heavy units like aboms and knights.

Since the spotlight has come up this week, does this mean that he goes live next week, or have they been doing this for a long time now?

Given this was gamescom, it's a special case. He'll be on PTR next week.

He's pretty fun to play , or atleast in the limited amount of time I had to play him.
The Gamescom build also has options disabled so it was a rough first game , but his actual kit is quite interesting.

He's quite glass canon if you dont have a decent tank or enemy team has decent dive (I faced smash varian+valeera while our support was a li li that never actually played the game T.T

He's def gonna be a day1 buy for me

edit: I should add he was playing KT so very cool getting to see gameplay while he talked to Alan about it all.

To be fair did you do his fight? other then his first phase he didnt do much "necromancy" his whole kit was ice spells same with him in warcraft, he used ice spells, Yes hes a necromancer, but he was a frost mage, and that followed him into his necromancy.

also they wanna stop adding "summoner" heros, because they have ALOT allready.

yep. Kelthuzad's use of necromancy has rarely been mid combat, he's more of the scientist sort who uses it in experimentation and development of better necromancy and large scale efforts.

in combat he ussually skips right past the "raise bodies" types of necromancy, which is just not his style of fighting, and employs full blown "death and decay" powers along with the gravechill magic. He flings around raw energy. spawning units was never ever his main style.

its like a demonology vs destruction warlocks.

The professor did the same, he created rotface and festergut, he was a creator of abominations...
but did we see that at all during their fight? no.
but yeah as you said, he is a necromancer, but not a combat necromancer.

Putricide's whole deal wasn't just about necromancy though, he was also known for creating plagues, blights, and diseases(hence why he's the boss of Plagueworks). In his fight, he spreads plagues and blights, and we literally see him go brew up some potions at his lab mid fight, so he really does show himself as a plague and disease focused scientist first and foremost, not some kinda mage or fighter, and not someone whose sole focus is making abominations. He basically makes them as part of the work he does, not all, or even the majority of it.

Just the 3. And he did them in his spare time, when he wasn't working on the diseases and the plague(which was the main way he actually created minions of the scourge, by spreading the plague that would infect the living and turn them into scourge). Actually assembling undead things was simply a side project, not his main focus.
