Patch 7.3 follow armor - new type?

Hi,

in 7.2 you couldnt use the old armor sets so you had to get new ones, which is great because it stopped people from stacking the old armor.
u could only use the old armor up to ilvl 850.

is it the same for 7.3? no use to horde armor tokens because there will a new one up to ilvl 950?

hopefully some1 knows, didnt find it in any patch notes.

Three new follower items
(Green) takes follower direct to 900
(Blue) is 920 I believe, might be 925
(Purple) 950

No longer appears to be a minor increase per item

Thank god, gearing up your champs as a Shammy/Monk/Druid was an absolute nightmare.

Indeed. I leveled Pally, Warrior und DK first.

So I was shocked, how awful champion-gearing was on my druid. Jesus Christ.

Most of my champs on my Shammy are about 3/4 of the way to legendary, and her highest one is 890. Wish I could slap the person at Blizzard who thought this was a good idea.

I was wrong, it's + 900/925/950 for each level of quality instead of the old + 5/10/15

I could be wrong here, but I distinctly remember an interview saying that there are two different versions of Champion Armor in 7.3. 1) A rare type that takes them directly to a specific item level that is rewarded from table missions (and occasionally from equipment work order in the Order Halls that get them) as a catch up mechanic, and 2) The more common ones that do the same thing as what we have now, increase 5/10/15 ilvl.
