This is the winning comment. Everything below it is unnecessary and pales in comparison.

Agreed. It is indeed superior to all others.

So Varian gets blown to bits and people talk about Sylvanas rezzing him, Vol'jin dies of some sort of fel infection and its not even hinted at. Also you'd figure becoming a ranger-general after being a shadow hunter wouldn't be a huge stretch.

WC3 says hi. You dont need a physical body to be rezzed.

Last time i checked she needed a body to do that...
And his body is scattered all across the broken shore.

    So that's a no.

Unless his spirit -somehow- exists on the Broken Shore and she manages to put it into a corpse, I wouldnt keep my hopes up.

But then he could be the new lich king in your expansion that was announced at Gamescom... oh wait... they didn't announce it there, did they?

They clearly wanted to but then decided differently.

Kel'Thuzad was raised from from human ashes into a Lich. Same principal would apply with Varian were they so inclined. I personally think it would be a silly idea.

You can make obliterum from obliterum ash, maybe she can make Varian from Varian ash.

Well yeah, I just don't see him as a Forsaken with his former body, that is all.

You mean the "lil' bitches who were away fighting the legion, leaving minority of their forces behind, and got backstabbed by the DKs"?
If you played trough it you would know just what happened there.

Is that the excuse you are going to employ when your fanboi fanfiction turned out to be as fraudulent as your Gamescom predictions?

probably shouldn't remind them what happens in the corrupted ashbringer hidden skin questline as well.

    Using his body? Impossible.

Using his spirit? Possible, but unlikely. Considering the Legion uses souls to power their machines and weapons, Varian was most likely absorbed into a soul engine on the Broken Shore. It's entirely possible that she could have taken his soul first, or taken it afterward...but I truly doubt that would be a scenario that Blizzard would write. People complain a lot when characters come back from the dead.
3 hints to surviving MMO-C forums:
1.) If you have an opinion, someone will say that it is wrong
2.) If you have a source, there will be people who refuse to believe it
3.) If you use logic, it will be largely ignored
btw: Spires of Arak = Arakkoa.
