Which would mean that killing them is pointless. Destruction of their habitats should be the goal. Like if they managed to destroy Azeroth (and Draenor II), all this immortality would become pointless, since you have no place left to resurrect on.

Now we don't fear them any more, we've killed their leaders, we're invading them at the very heart of their domain where they can actually be destroyed and they're still displaying the same characteristics because Blizzard can't write.

Blizzard has escalated our power and standing within the story over the years from humble adventurer to beings of godlike power, we have killed literal gods of this universe now, the evil laugh and puny mortals trope was fine when our adventures consisted of delivering Maybell Maclure's love letters, it's not fine when we're time and reality travelling god slayers. That's where it becomes farcical.

You can have the villains running in fear of the heroes and still have them be taken relatively seriously and continue to be a threat while making the player feel like a badass, look at DOOM. Telling a good story that way is something you cannot do though.
They've only invaded Azeroth three times. Legion detailing their third assault.

They're not going to fear us. We are probably the only inhabitants of a planet to come to directly to Burning Legion HQ as a small mass. Even then... It's a mixture of those that fled and some they've never seen. Including another that joined the Legion and abandoned them. Considering the Army of the Light are already there and have virtually done nothing while remaining on Argus, extra for that Army will probably viewed as more game for them. For the Legion, the Army of Light is pretty much nothing more than a flying bug in the room of Burning Legion. A mild annoyance. That's the confidence.

The Burning Legion lackies which number in probably tens of thousands will not know directly what the invaders are capable of. Those demons that came to Azeroth have died or been resurrected, then tortured for the failure. They also know planets have been destroyed already regardless of Azeroth "taking time" and really people like Kil'Jaeden and Archimonde were merely pushed back before. They only died recently and even then Sargeras would shrug and not give a shit, he probably wouldn't inform anymore than Aggramar since Sargeras agenda has been his new Dark Pantheon.

He's not going to give out his universal destruction and resetting pamphlet to the likes of every demon going and they are constantly replaced. That would unravel the legion if they knew, instead they are being used for their nature by Sargeras and inherently demons are arrogant, malevolent fucks.

Well their souls are bond to twisting nether, so unless you manage to destroy it... Or simply kill them while they still in the twisting nether so their souls are destroyed permanently, which is rare occurrence aparently

We are an army of veritable demigods, wielding the most powerful weapons our world has to offer.
We are have a foothold of ever-increasing size on their capital world, a world where they can die permanently.

Why are the demons still spouting the same old "hohoho, we are legion, we are endless", "puny mortal, I HAVE THE POWURRRR" nonsense? One would think they might be starting to lose faith in the Legion's abilities or at the very least be starting to recognise us as a serious threat, but nope, all they do boast until their dying breath.

Blizzard is trying to make us feel like badasses this expansion but all these overconfident enemies are really at odds with that goal.
    1. Many planets have been destroyed by Legion Tome of Shar'guul details one being destroyed when they come across the Draenei trying to start a new.
    2. Argus is powered by a Titan that has shown that they can be quickly resurrected, so their penalty of dying is a small inconvenience.
    3. The Eredar that joined the Burning Legion have most likely seen non-stop victories and feel good they joined the "winning side".
    4. Demons are mostly be self-absorbed and arrogant bastards in general.
    5. Demons are endless, they die and then resurrect or new ones simply come to replace them.
    6. Under Sargeras, they get to wreck havoc and destruction, play games. It's again their nature.
    7. Army of Light has been their only direct opposition on Argus before others from Azeroth came.
    8. Army of Light on their doorstep have virtually done nothing, not even interrupted them in the slightest, as said in the opening cinematic the Genedar "came out of hiding" showing that they are probably like whipped dogs to the Legion.
    9. Because Army of Light have been nothing more than a very mild annoyance to them, they have already built an attitude that will cause them to scoff at any resistance especially in their HQ.
    10. Azeroth has only ever been invaded three times in total, Legion expansion details the third invasion directly.
    11. The tales of the new invaders (Azerothian inhabitants), to join Army of Light will be missed by the demons, why? Because their comrades would have either died or been resurrected and moved on. Those that have failed will/are being tortured.
    12. Sargeras isn't handing out a pamphlet of his intentions on universal resetting.
