    CPU + GPU Combo

    Core i7 7700k + This card :

I'm planning on getting a 1080p 144hz monitor (most likely BenQ ZOWIE XL2430) , I've seen most people suggesting this CPU with at least a GTX 1060 , just want to know will this CPU/GPU setup run Heroes of the storm smoothly at 144fps ? (and at which resolution and graphic level)

Have you considered a cheaper cpu and spenning that cash on a more expencive gpu, perhaps 1070?

Wait for october if you can. If you cannot go with Ryzen. There is absolutely no reason to go for a 7700K+1050Ti.

Yeah if you want to OC go with the i5 7600k instead, if you wont OC go with normal i5 and buy a 1070 strix or MSI instead instead.

Well in the store i'm going to shop , The GTX 1060 is double the price of the card I mentioned (I know it's far superior compared to it , but even If i pick an i5 it will still need extra money for the gpu)

Cpu/gpu think of it as a car. Atm you want the 2 left tires to be really good and have bling on them, while the right wheels dont even have tires.
You really should save up some more or get a cheaper cpu in order to get a good 1060. I play on a 5 year old cpu (i5 3570k) and its still good enough. You cant do shit with a 5 year old gpu these days. In low end/budget builds gpu matters more (with exeptions).

My knowledge is limited, I dont know. All I know is that a i5 7600k or i7 7700k is overkill with a 1050 ti. Sorry

Well , It seems Buying the Gtx 1060 will be worth it , double the price and nearly double the performance ...

Go for the Ryzen and spend the extra on your GPU. The 7700k is a waste without the 1080Ti as the difference isn't that big anyhow.

The biggest gains to be had on the 7700k are paired with a 1080ti at low res(1080p) at the highest framerates(144+ monitor). Outside of that the differences diminish or its the same.

You should prob go for the 6gb vram one, not the 3gb vram card

It's more accurate to say avoid the 3GB variation at all costs. It's pretty much the worst card in the 1xxx series.

7600k + GTX1060/1070, or 7700k+GTX1070/1080. Or wait until Coffee Lake and get an 8600k/8700k and GTX 1070/1080.

Of course ! That's the entire point of buying the GTX 1060 (more Vram)

There is a 2gb version of GTX 1050 as well ... maybe that's the worst one
