    I like it too.

The stat squish was stupid and unnecessary. Felt like a massive nerf across the board, despite making everything easier.

hate it. but it is 13 year old game that has a hard reset every expansion

Well the one non-arbitrary aspect of the numbers is that they actually start to impede on your screen space. I used to play with floating combat text but I legit can't anymore. Takes up too much room on my screen now.

    (-_-)'

It's not a nerf. You know it, we all know it, my mom knows it. Stat squish brings everyone to the same level.

When the coin in my country changed to euros i did not frek out like all old mans. It's the same thing!

I miss the Burning Crusade numbers.

I think the reason behind stat squish is that its programmatically less efficient to use bigger numbers since you can just lower them.

Doesn't much matter to me. I haven't used SCT since wrath.
If I do 10 damage or 1000, it doesn't matter as long as it's proportional.

Hyperinflated numbers don't make me feel I'm doing more damage or become stronger. It's all about the power budget that's put into abilities that makes them feel strong or weak. My Backstab does 200k~ damage but feels like it does absolutely no damage compared to wotlk and cataclysm where damage numbers were significantly lower. It's just that most of the power budget is put into other abilities.

bigger numbers = better! Whats why clickerheroes is the best game ever done! Hitting for 10^700 dmg ftw!

I agree. Power is how quicker the mob I'm attacking dies.

I don't care. The only number I ever needed is in %. It's my manabar. (and sometimes the % in recount)

I didn't read if this has already been said, but they should give you an option similar to how it looks in Diablo: truncate the numbers to K for thousands and M for millions. It's silly how high the numbers are right now, just occluding your view and making it harder to distinguish. It would be nice to see this change, because 200.000 would become 200k, 1,5 million would look like 1,5M. Maybe a size difference to make it easier to distinguish K's from M's? This way people can choose to reduce the numbers shown, without actually doing 'less' damage.

Numbers are just numbers to me... no difference

  17. #97
I don't mind them. I dislike stat squish for consistency/ needing to retcon reasons. They should just cool it on the power curves next expansion so this isn't needed as quickly.

No reason we need to be doing 200-300% our original damage mid expansion.

Power creep in WoW is out of control, like really-batshit-crazy out of control. That's where we get those lovely numbers from, which tbh make me feel like I am cheating. The game ought to be back to 60, maybe even 50 levels imo, i.e. level squish instead of item squish.

I like that I have over a million hp now, always been a little jealous of bosses.

How the fuck does it feel like cheating when the bosses have billions of hp? You could be doing trillions of dps but bosses would have quadrillions of hp
