    WoW is a M.E.S.S.

Wow is not an MMO. It hasn't been for some time. An MMO actually focus on a community in game. What is a better acronym? I was think Massive Environment for Single-player Situations or MESS for short. What do you think? It seems to capture the essence of what they are doing. A massive world they increasingly fill with solo content.
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.

I'm pretty sure I can't do Mythic ToS solo.

/yawn. Yeah, this is a totally new idea that's never happened before. It has a large number of people who all share the same game world through their internet, it's an mmo. You play as a character in that world according to a race and class you decided on, it's an rpg.

Legion has copy pasted a lot of world content mechanics from Guild Wars 2 (and re-labelled everything, of course) in an attempt to get players in the outside world and I think it's worked well enough to keep the world more alive and community oriented, however, as per blizzard fashion it hasn't gone far enough, since the new daily quests are just that, got to a location and kill some shit get some loot, wait for the reset next day.

What Guild Wars 2 does is that these events never end, and they're multi phase. You save some village then go on the offensive then help an escort and it makes you travel the map, it's much more engaging and encourages large groups of people sticking together. On top of that the content is in every zone of every level because everyone can get something from these events which benefits them, so every zone is never truly empty, there's always groups of people doing stuff and no one is limited to say Broken Isles or Argus for meaningful content reward-wise.

So does that mean that people are still doing stuff in the same starting zone they've been playing in since the first day they started the game, just in phases and junk? I can't speak for anyone else, but no matter how many new things they gave me to do eventually I'd be sick to death of Mulgore.

There are communities in WOW you can join in, if you aren't a self-righteous, introverted, Autist.

Which I tend to find people that complain about having no interactions in WoW generally are.

You can do whatever the hell you want. You can play in the top level zone or the lowest level zone, every zone is full of world bosses and multi phase activities which can be soloed or which in some cases take groups. So if you feel like doing events in Elwynn Forest all day you can. If you wanna go to Hyjal, you can. You'll be rewarded for your time all the same, and you'll have people to play with.

Would've been a much better thread if OP had tried to put some substance in rather than self-insertion of some bit he stole from reddit or trade chat.

Genre doesn't change because you don't like certain pieces of content.

    Not how it works.

What events does Elwynn have other than holiday dailies when they are up?

Almost every new innovation removes the multiplayer element. The multiplayer part isnt really what this game wants to be. Its not an mmo.

Again you don't get to decide that because you dislike the current iteration of the game. You get to have the opinion that it isn't. Simple as that.

    Try again.

I agree it's further from a traditional RPG than it used to be, however it's definitely still a MMORPG.
