Third spec should be Void based

Scythe or void blade(protoss psi blades) used as main weapon. I want that negative effect on me demon hunter skin. Our class colour already is purpl. Now they need to match it.

The last questline on Argus to unlock the Netherlight Crucible consists of us assisting Alleria in scouting the void presence in the Seat of the Triumvirate(i think that's what it's called), we find out a little about what she's been doing - her teacher, Locus Walker (an ethereal) joins you. During the questline you go in/out of void tears to stealth past enemies and end up fighting a void demi-god for the darkness that balances the light in the crucible. The teasing is all about her teacher admonishing her over her studies and guiding her, it's all in the small talk, but it's definitely there.

When I saw that cinematic after doing seat, that's kind of what I was hoping, but no, they won't give us a 3rd spec and finish the class. :/

Yes, but personally I would prefer it melee. that being said I won't say 'no' to ranged spec.

Except for the fact that Demon Hunters are who they are because they like to fight fire with fire. Now that Legion is done and greater threat rises, I doubt they would sit idle. It takes only one void cake to open their minds to new horizons.

DHs literally have demons inside of them and that's how they have power over fel magics, how would they all of a sudden also gain void magic?

IF, big IF there, we do see anyone using void magic other than shadow priests it'll have to be a new class because right now no class really fits the bill, aside from Shadow Priest.

Shadow is Void based but still it's a ranged caster spec, there should be plenty of room for a Void based melee spec. Giving this new spec to Demon Hunters would be a great idea, instead of a completely new class (designing 2-3 Void Based specs will be tough).

Me too, it would beunique. There is subtlety rogue but he will never reach potential that DH can unleash with void demon form.

To make everyone stfu, the new class should have 3 specs - Tinker, Shadow Hunter and Dark Ranger. It would use mail and all 3 specs would be ranged.

Oh you're right. I never played druid so i was under the impression Guardian/Feral was still 1 spec xD

The only spec that might make sense for DH is some sort of warden type spec, given their history with the wardens. Void wouldn't fit the class at all.

If any 3rd spec, that's not splitting the dps one currently, then it should be a soul based healing spec. That's it.
