Are "chupacabras" actually displaced thylacenes (Tasmanian tigers)?

An interesting video from Sasquatch researcher MK Davis. He discusses the possibility that what they are calling the "chupacabra" in Central and South America today are actually Tasmanian tigers that were spared the culling that took place around a hundred years ago.

Anyway, I thought it was an interesting idea.

(Edited to add: Yeah I misspelled "chupacabras" in the thread title. If someone wants to fix that for me they can.)

That just looks like a dog with severe mange, doesn't even resemble a Tasmanian Tiger

they seem to just be mange-ridden foxes or coyotes.

or they could be some species related to the mexican hairless dog, that i won't even attempt to spell the name of.

it being a type of dog would make sense, if the blood sucking is true. around here, you hear about dogs getting in the hen house and sucking the yolk out of chicken eggs. maybe some dog learned to do that with animals. though, i would expect a more violent scene than that from the average dog/fox/coyote.

In Tasmania, maybe. In Mexico, I'm placing my money on coyotes with mange.

    Real chupacabras have spikes, anyways.

    Tigers don't suck blood.

Chupacabra is probably dogs with scabies.

It's true. My friend, a leprechaun researcher confirms this.

Unlikely, I don't see thylacines ever being shipped to North America for a reason beyond zoo animals and even then if multiple individuals capable of reproducing escaped, they would have to contend with Indigenous wildlife.

An interesting thing to note though, before South America collided with North America and formed one continent, marsupial predators dominated the ecosystem, these predators later went extinct though as they couldn't contend with placental felines and canids.
