Nazi Germany couldn't be as successful building up national resources without their socialist applications... but, allied powers wouldn't have been able to thwart fascism, if it were not for our socialist resource management.

NA and Western Europe current status is based on a socialist approach towards almost every aspect of our life's, towards the end of the 19th centuary you saw the first few steps taken but it really got some steam during the early 20th century and fully implemented after WW2 because the war in Europe devastated our economy.

Early 20th century you didn't have pensioen, healthcare, public schools, 8 hours work day for everybody everything was fought over in order to get them and to keep them.

Taxes have existed long before capitalism and socialism were conceived, they were used as a tool for slavery, monarchies, anarchism and government systems so on.
