You know, blizzard has two teams working on wow. Team a and team b trade off as the current expansion. But what if there was more to the plan? What if team b was actually getting ramped up to be put on the next gen diablo mmo? Then the pattern would be release a wow expac then a diablo xpac then a wow xpac then a diablo xpac?
TO FIX WOW:1. smaller server sizes & server-only LFG awarding satchels, so elite players help others. 2. "helper builds" with loom powers - talent trees so elite players cast buffs on low level players XP gain, HP/mana, regen, damage, etc. 3. "helper ilvl" scoring how much you help others. 4. observer games like in SC to watch/chat (like twitch but with MORE DETAILS & inside the wow UI) 5. guild leagues to compete with rival guilds for progression (with observer mode).6. jackpot world mobs.

    Because they're fun.

Sure is a lot of delusion up in here. If you think Blizzard ever considered anything but money, you're wrong. That's why a Diablo first person RPG is too much of a risk.

I feel like Blizzard cared not just about money. Activision Blizzard, however, not so much.

Well you're wrong. Pre-Activison Blizzard may have had a different stance as to how to maximize profits, but it's always been about that.

And by fun you mean extremely boring.
Top down perspective all the way (lost ark way).

Finally someone knows what they are talking about!^ A star craft Vanilla inspired MMO( 1.12.1-2.4.3 before resilience split the game in half AKA the only good version of "wow") would be the only thing blizzard can announce at this point that would be fresh and not some shitty regurgitated material like the past 10 years of their garbage

No... It is slowly becoming a WoW ARPG with instant gratification everywhere and RNG loot.

i would love a diablo MMO... or at least a mature dark and gritty MMO.... but because of the "we have to be family friendly!" bullcrap in videogameindustry i doubt that..

but well... videogames came a long way... the "adult" audience grows more since games are not "childplay only" anymore.. and with the recent success of novel adaption like Game Of Thrones or The Walking Dead..

maybe we can get an adult MMO... which is actually good quality wise... and not some c-quality production from some kickstarter scammers.
