I like both Coke and Pepsi, if it's in a glass bottle, even better! The cans typically give it a slight metallic taste.

Dang, that's some proper 1.6 posts per week lurking. :P
If we're talking about the company, aren't all three made by the same company? Or am I mistaken in saying that?

Yes, this. Although I very rarely drink regular soda.

You are mistaken. Coke and Pepsi are separate companies. I'm not actually sure who owns Dr. Pepper off of the top of my head.

    The real MVP.

Vanilla Coke wins hands down. Vanilla Cherry Pepsi does give it a good run though.

Dr.Pepper is its own thing, seems to depend on where you live though on who manufactures it.

    PepisCo for Canada.
    Coca-Cola for Europe.
Dr Pepper Snapple Group for USA.

Ah okay, fair enough then. Thanks for letting me know, why I thought all three were made by the same company, I don't know.

Yeah, I wasn't sure with them. I knew they changed hands at some point just wasn't sure of the end result. 7Up, Dr. Pepper, RC, A&W all seem to move around.

Coke, Pepsi somehow manages it to have the taste of stale Coke while actually still being carbonated. Not sure how they do it, but they sure did create this abomination..

Depends on the country... I could not drink full glass of Coca-Cola in Switzerland. It was like drinking melted chocolate. I ended up drinking Pepsi while I was there. In Latin america where I am located, Coca-Cola. If I go to a bar and ask for one and they reply that they only have Pepsi I thank them and leave or request water.

Coca-Cola changes the formula for its beverages based on local demands. For example in Argentina they tried to switch to HFCS, sales tanked for a couple of months and then went back to sugar.

I really don't get root beer. It tastes like coke with added toothpaste.

HFCS is just one of many edible items to be given properties of magic. Along side "super foods",healthy/unhealthy fats, protein, herbs and some over the counter medicines/vitamins it has been assigned as an item with such immense powers that it can almost instantly alter your life if you eat it.

    It can not.

You do not get fat from eating or drinking HFCS. You do get fat because you eat or drink a lot of it while sitting on your ass in front of your computer for 8 years however. Noone wants to hear this though. It is much easier to blame corn syrup than go jogging which ironically will have a huge impact on your life although only after some effort and many months of doing it.

I can't vote, really. It has to be other.

I am a cola connoisseur, and I have different choices depending.

Pepsi has a softer fizz when cold, and therefor better for mid-day/early day drinks when at work.
Coca Cola has a stronger fizz when cold but therefor very refreshing in hot weather, as well as late day/evening.

    Yes, I am a nerd.
