I am not even sure if it's necessarily and primarily that, but:
a) there are much more guys active here, the ratio is far from 1:1 or even 2:1
b) we have a lot of users from Northern/Western Europe, where people tend to be tall on average

I think men feel like they have to lie about their height more (be taller), as taller men are usually preferred by women and it's seen as manlier.

I am 179cm. I am quite short for a Dutch guy. Runs in the family, as I am the tallest. My dad and brother are only 170cm.

According to Google the average height for men is 177cm. Women 163cm. Since this forum has both genders I would expect the average here to be somewhere below 177 depending on ratios of male to female. Why is 180-185 and 185-190 making up the most votes by far??

Most of MMO-C posters from EU are from Scandinavia or Central Europe, well above 180cm on average. Add to that the lack of asian and females and the possibility that some might have a little restrain posting their height if it's below average.
