I mean it might have been good in the OG-360 eras but ever since One it has been a shit show.
Cuphead comes out today and apparently the store shits itself and currently you can't even install the game on xbone or PC. Yes, the servers could not handle the load from Cuphead hype ffs. I expect it to be a successful game but not server breaking. This is just another in a line of failures of xbox live this gen.

Sigh, should of installed it earlier today. Or bought on GOG, but wanted the option to play on both pc and xbone. Yet right now, can't install on either one.

According to your reddit thread, about an hour ago some people started to just restart their xbox and it worked. Try that.

I could care less when it was resolved, it's absolutely hilarious people claim this service is so great yet it has a 4 hour window where you can buy a game and not be able to download it. It would be one thing if the store was down entirely.

They downsized the department in recent year. It used to be a good service. It really did, but updates, and newer games, the xbone and windows 10 integration have made it clunky and wobbly. They need to give it a kick up the arse, but as a... person previously in their employ by proxy of another company, I didn't hear much good trickle down the grapevine, take that with massive sacks of salt though, I certainly don't believe office gossip all the time and neither should you.
I have eaten all the popcorn, I left none for anyone else.

Probably because it used to be. I just got an xbone cheap and i was amazed how everything runs like molasses compared to the PS4, especially the online. Its a bloated mess that cannot handle the loads its dealing with. I mean shit some of these games have 50+gb patches which is comparable on PS4 to the entirety of Destiny and its expansions. It just goes to show the people that made the xbox and its services did not make the modern equivalents and it shows in its pretty garbage performance.

you must not buy digital games for the PS4. Sony throttles downloads to 40mbs, MS is over 100mbs. It takes me a lot longer to download a new PS4 game then it does a XB1 game. Originally Posted by Video Games
