Rihanna was Battleship. Pacific rim is an amazing popcorn flick with robots fighting monsters.

Yup, I always thought of it as the live-action Eva movie that ADV (defunct and now publishes anime under several different names) was writing/planning since 2002/2003 but never came to be. Got exactly what I paid for and expected.

Saw Robot Jox in 1990 as well, shit movie but goddamn it was amazing as a 10 year old.

Oh man, Robot Jox. Now there's an awful blast from the past. But was the closet I had to a live-action Battletech movie so I still was okay with it.

Disliked the first movie. The entire intro backstory should have been the movie. Instead, it was an intro backstory and the actual movie was just CGI transformers action sequences.

There were a couple shots of actors standing in front of greenscreen backgrounds that looked a little funky...but I doubt that's what you're talking about. Looked like a decent trailer to me.

I don't know what it is. Maybe it is the look. I kind of feel like they don't have the same weight that they did in the first movie. I can't really put my finger on it, but something just feels off. I'm not saying it looks bad or anything like that it just doesn't seem to have something that I can't put into words.

Yeah, I've heard this a lot when people are talking about what little we've seen of the movie so far. If it does end up being the case, it can probably be chalked up to this one not being directed by del Toro. If there's one thing he's got going for him it's a flair for eye candy.

Kind of like godzilla movies imo. I don't particularly care why godzilla is fighting king ghidorah again...but I'm enjoying it

Yeah...it was actually the first movie I'd seen in a long time that delivered exactly what it advertized. Big fuckin robots fighting big fucking monsters. I mean seriously what else was there?
