Democrats were not as liberal as the Republican Party of the late 19th century. That is correct. Our modern view of conservatism did not exist in either party, however. Conservatism is a product of liberalism, and appears mid 20th century in America as a reaction to FDR's liberal policies. It's rise created huge shifts in the parties and members.
Modern conservatism is a cancer. How poorly conservatives speak, how adverse they are to science - it's a blemish on any intellectual progress in the United States.
You’ve lost the argument by lying, and moving goalposts. Youve lost. Deal with it.
Only strom Thurmond lefty? Stop lying. I’ve reported you. You are officially trolling and or stupid. I don’t care if I’m banned, but I don’t suffer fools like yourself.
You are a deluded idiot who doesn’t know history, yet acts like he does. You’re dumb, lying, and an ignorant fool. Please continue to live in your delusions, it’s great entertainment for the rest of us.

Why do people still feed TJ and let him derail threads?
Folly and fakery have always been with us... but it has never before been as dangerous as it is now, never in history have we been able to afford it less. - Isaac Asimov

Everyone else has the rest of this post covered so I'll just call this part out.
If this were a true statement we wouldn't have experienced force-fed condemnation Trump speech over Charlottesville delivered 2 days too late that he summarily undermined a day later. Maybe the GOP doesn't promote it, but they certainly permit it.
And before you say something along these lines, yes #NotAllGOP

People only resort to vulgarity, dishonesty, and name calling when their argument is too weak to stand on it's own. I'm sorry if hearing the truth has upset you. I recommend doing your own research, and taking a minute to calm yourself down.
Nothing I said was non-factual. You may disagree with my over all assessment, but nothing I said was a lie. I'm sorry the truth hurts.

So my state used to be Democrat? LOL WAT? When was this a thing? (Kansas)
Also, you are laughably wrong. At NO point in history, did ANY state vote ALL one way. Please. The Democrat party had control of a good part of the North too, before the GOP won over the voters. And those Northern Democrats, were EVERY bit as racist as the Southern ones were. Even to this day, Democrats exist in the South, and run most of the major cities. This monolithic fantasy is just that, fantasy.
And I'll keep saying it again and again, HEINOUS ACTS OF TERRORISM, are not on the political spectrum. The differences in policy ideals that the two parties have, does not include one side wanting to murder every minority. DEMOCRATS committed these crimes, and have never even acknowledged them, let alone apologized.
The notion that racism, slavery, and acts of terror, are someone a legitimate political policy is disgusting. These are specific crimes, carried out by specific individuals, and have nothing to do with normal political discourse.
Dylan Roof shooting a church full of black people - https://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/21/u...ting.html?_r=0
See, actually providing links isn't terribly difficult : )
The person I was replying to insisting that the racist terrorism of Democrats, was magically transferred to Republicans, no doubt through some sort of seance or witchcraft. My state never felt that way, even before it was a state. My red state started the abolitionist movement, and there was nary a Democrat to be found. Fuck of with your switch bullshit. Racism is not on the political spectrum. It's an illegitimate ideal, that started to die when Republicans took Democrat's slaves away. It's taken too long to die off, but make no mistake it's still dying.
Getting you to just state your point however, not so easy is it? Why not just say what you want to say the first time?
Emanuel Kidega Samson attempted to shoot a church full of white people, but a good guy with a gun beat the bad guy with a gun. Tit for tat is boring.
Why not discuss our ideas instead? It's far more fulfilling.

Are you even capable of posting an original thought, or a post without an insult? Asking for a friend...
If you want to discuss WHY voters shifted I'm game. But you won't like how I will point out WHEN the changes happened, that completely destroys your notion it was because of race.
