    Cheating on online quiz

So I cheated on my online quiz. Ive been studying for my other classes but not this one. Ill go back and study the material once im free.
Just Information to all of the haters out there

My prof said to only open one browser while doing the quiz, and thats what I did. However, I used my phone to google some of the question (word to word), but I googled it using the school wifi. What are the chances ill get caught? I used my laptop to do the quiz btw

Zero percent chance. No one gives a shit about your stupid online quiz, everyone has better things to do.

Nobody gives a shit. You're only cheating yourself.

You'll be fine. If multiple choice, no one gives a shit. If short answer and you copied word for word, then failing it would be a great lesson on how to properly cheat.

Depends on the college and professor. If you were basically copying or largely copying the idea for an answer then your professor might find out. You can kind of tell if the idea or thought isn't original depending on the course (such as argumentative answers). If it's just basic factual information then they probably won't find out

    and don't cheat

They know you're going to cheat they just have to say that because its policy. They don't care. Take my advice and don't do it because you're only gonna screw yourself over come test time when you don't have the ability too do that and have no clue what you're doing.

But yeah you won't get caught unless they made you install something prior that tracks your web usage or something. Even then I'd say they don't really care because online quizzes are gonna be worth like what 10-15% of your grade?

Answering questions by quoting something word for word is a bad idea, they apparently have software that automatically checks your answers against a list of websites.

That is just so fucking brilliant. I don't think anyone has ever thought of this before. You simply must write a book and share your genius with the entire world.

I am not sure, but this post may be sarcasm.

With a group of 3 other friends we managed to "hack" our university's online testing platform. We passed a whole course (Neurophysiology and Cardiovascular physiology) without even touching a textbook. Once I started my Internal Medicine clerkship I noticed that my gap of knowledge regarding those two subjects was rather notorious, so I had to double up on my reading and had to learn them from scratch on my own

At the end of the day you're just cheating yourself. Should you do it? Sure, go ahead if you want to, just make sure to look at the bigger picture to see if it's worth it.

No chance of catching you. You will get your good grade. But you should pay attention to your incapacities before it's too late. Failure to be prepared there is one thing, but in the future, try to be ready for all the tests. Ya never know.

    Very much this.

Many technical roles such as science, engineering or medicine will assume you understand the core content and principles. If don't you will often find yourself struggling in the job as even though you learn on the job often it is based of a foundation of knowledge learnt during your course.

    Yup!
Try diagnosing and managing arrhythmias or heart blocks without understanding basic cardiac electrophysiology, it's next to impossible.
    It all builds up

I'm now kinda proficient in neurology and cardiology, not as much as my classmates and that 3rd year stunt is to blame.

If it’s random gen-ed garbage, who cares.
    If it’s major-specific, then you’re dumb

I don't know how your school handles online quizzes and tests but my universities records you through a webcam and you must share your desktop with them while you take you take your tests.

You can get flagged for using your phone or googling questions which may lead you to getting expelled.

So unless you were being recorded you should be fine.

Cheating is cheating. Like others have said, you're really just hurting yourself. Most of my professors said go ahead and use Google, open book/note, but there is a time limit so you won't have time to look up every answer.
