Are there any links connecting OW's world to other game worlds?

It would be pretty cool if the Overwatch world was in the same universe as the other Blizz games.

I am aware of easter eggs (like the Murlock vending machines, etc) but actual canon proof like having a Map be a part of the zone in WoW or something, would be pretty neat.

Now that WoW introduced inter-dimensional and space crafts, would be neat if the 2 worlds collided.

Again, outside of easter eggs, I don't think there's anything canonically connecting Overwatch to any of the other Blizzard franchises. In fact, I believe Blizzard has said that they kind of want Overwatch to stand on its own as much as possible, which is why we won't see skins for characters themed after stuff from other Blizzard games.

However, that's just for Overwatch itself. Meanwhile, in Heroes of the Storm, the universes of all four of Blizzard's games are in fact connected via the Nexus.

My headcanon is that Overwatch based in the "Real" world, and the other Blizzard games are franchises within that world. HotS could be akin to a virtual reality game in the Overwatch universe, or something of that nature.

This is based on the presence of Blizzard easter eggs, the parallels to real world locations, the different stages of technology in each universe, and events such as Sombra's ARG.

A canon connection might be cool, but I agree that the franchise is stronger by not piggybacking on an existing one.

Only universe Overwatch could even remotely connect to canonically is Starcraft, as Terrans originate from Earth.

Warcraft and Diablo have no connections to real world.

It doesn't need to piggyback, it's just fun knowing they are all in the same universe (although maybe not in the same time period) sort of like how Quentin Tarantino confirmed that all of his films take place in the same world.

So in Quentin's world, there are vampires and Hitler was assassinated brutally.

At least not until we get an Escort the Payload map, driving a Titan Artifact into the World Heart.

    Overwatch is "our" future.
    And Blizzgames exist in OW-World.
The watchman in the museum plays Hearthstone.
D.Va is a professional Starcraft player, also Murlocs.

While being easter eggs they are more to tie OW to our own world.

I believe that's more or less accurate. D.Va's backstory is that she was a professional Starcraft player, and in the announcement cinematic there's a security guard very obviously playing Hearthstone on his future-tablet complete with the tavern music.

Starcraft is a game in overwatch. Lorewise.
    Literally.

    D. Va is a pro sc player.

Overwatch is meant to be set in the future version of our earth, so no, there should never be any story cross-overs. I'd be okay with certain skins, maybe, but that's about it. D.va could decorate her mech to look like one of her favorite game characters.

Overwatch is a alternate reality of our own world. No links to warcraft or starcraft.

There are pretty silly Overwatch skins already. Doing crossover skins wouldn't be any worse, but that's a gimmick they are saving for HotS.

    Comming back to the skins.

Crossover skins would be very possible in the sense of cosplaying. We see it every Blizzcon, Elfes Orcs, Trolls, Marines, Zerg...etc...

But yeah, Lahis kinda hit the point, HOTS is for all this stuff......sadly....i would love a Ogre-Roadhog.

The only way the can possibly exist in the same universe is through Heroes of the Storm. Technically, it's possible that one could use the Nexus to transport between the universes.
