Is it time for a halloween dungeon revamp?

It'd be nice to see more stuff throughout the world, and maybe provide some actual, obtainable, event specific items that are permanent and always usable. Like a cool holiday xmog set, that has a piece from each holiday. Or a weapon enchant effect that is themed like the holiday.

I wouldn't be opposed to maybe a new dungeon for each event, with a little boss at the end. Maybe allow it to be M+ and give it some unique items, or, to keep it fair, have it drop random items from any current dungeon.

Just spitballing some ideas, but I haven't participated in a holiday since I got my violet proto in WotLK, mainly because I have the mounts, and don't really care for anything else (the gear always is terrible if you play the game at all).

It's once a year. It's not like it's there all the time. There's no particular reason to run it if you have the mount. As much nostalgia as this forum is drenched in there's plenty of room for something to stay consistent year after year.

I don't know. People like playing slot machines in casinos and they haven't really change for years either. People enjoy stuff. You're too limited if you seem to believe that everyone has to think like you. It's annoying.

Leave the dungeon alone.

Add other things instead in my opinion. All holiday dungeons/bosses are extremely simple.

If they want to tack on another dungeon, or a scenario? Sure, that would be cool. As it stands, the dungeon is really the big thing worth doing. Rather than changing that up, I'd rather have more alongside of it to make the event as a whole cooler.

You have only one choice "don't like it - don't do it". Literally.

Blizz won't do a thing as long as participation is high enough. High participation = people like it (Blizzard logic).

Participation will drop when people stop doing it. When participation drop below some threshold Blizz will think about it. Until then - not even a 0.0001% chance they will change something.

On another side they need to update all holidays. make it more engaging. right now it is log on kill guy get off woohoo. what a holiday. im sure blizzard can hire a small team to work only on holiday stuff and not take away from anything else

I'd just like them to improve the loot. Right now, 880 gear really isn't that useful. You can get it from world quests, you can get the random "unsullied" drops on Argus which don't strike me as particularly rare and can be sent to alts, you can buy 910 gear for argunite, you get the occasional random legendary drop...at this point, it's kinda unlikely 880 is gonna be much use to anyone. Should be at least 910 gear. In truth, I'd rather them add more events, or holiday stuff to do in general.

Already have the pets, mount, and achievements, so there's really no reason for me to do it anymore.

I'd say yes. FFXIV kinda spoils us in this regards. Annual events change every year. Granted it is never a boss fight as they want events to be fully playable for every player, but the haunted house dungeon last year was loads of fun. Literally everyone loved it.

I'd love to see a complete overall with a proper "difficult" Hallow's End boss or Hallow's End dungeon. They could diversify the things to do with world quests, add more cosmetic rewards, etc.

As fun as Hallows End has been, it's quite laughable how little content updates there has been to the event. Compare to other games, that hasnt been out nearly as long as wow, and has had lots of different updates, some even a new halloween event each year.

Yes and no. I like the fight as it is, but I'd like more to the run itself, maybe an actual dungeon instead of just a boss...

I know it's a pipe dream and all, but I would love to see holiday-themed dungeons. Like a Halloween dungeon, one that is Christmas themed, etc. I know the art department can only do so much, but still think it would be cool. Nothing huge or grand, 3-4 bosses each.

They need to spice it up with more bosses like mini bosses or something and a new location and a new way of bringing the "fear" of the horseman.
He is atm (well always been) a farm boss.

How can I like something? Geez, it's almost like I have an opinion on something. Is it the same fight it's always been? Yes, but then so are all the old raid fights and old dungeons that haven't been updated yet. It's perfectly fine to like something the first time and not feel it has to be changed. It's a perfect three phase fight with mechanics that are doable. They should definitely boost stats on him so it's not so faceroll, but change the fight itself? Nah, the fight itself is perfectly fine.
