@xskarma save me, just getting more nervous by the second. Fuck this game. Can you like, break one Brady's fingers or something? (JK, gotta beat the best) Goddamnit. Can't wait to hear Cris Collingsworth talk about Superbowl 51... UGH
The waits killing me.
I went the opposite direction. Nothing good can come from this game, so I've been kind of ignoring it. I know there's a team we have been preparing for and that it is the Falcons, but I've mostly concentrated on our side and injuries and general feeling around the team and trying hard to not think about what the opponent is.
I mean, most people seem to think that it's going to be close, but when pressed almost no one thinks the Falcons will win. So, if Patriots win, it's just expected. IF Falcons win it's going to be nothing but "they got their revenge!" and "redemption" when it's obviously not true. There's no redemption for losing a Superbowl by winning in the regular season. Just ask Vetali how he feels about beating the Patriots in the regular season in their own home last year and if it made him feel any better. I can only imagine that losing the game will just lead to a shitstorm of "lol 28-3".
So, neither of us have much to win with this game and we both just want it to be over with. Add to that that I think both our teams have significant injuries that might not play and it might not even be a good game.
I'll continue to try and ignore everything till it's actually time to play the game and then hope for the best.
You dumb Patriots better win, these guys couldn't score more than 17 against the rest of your division.
Josh freaking McCown had a 300 yard day against us. Trust me, every Patriots fans hopes we shut the Falcons down and keep them to 17 points or less but...it will take a small miracle.
I expect a somewhat ugly 30 points on both sides and the one with the ball last to take it.
Though, I have to admit, Belichick doesn;t give a shit about yards anyway, only points, so there's every chance Matt Ryan and Julio both have career days in yards, but lose, and he'd be perfectly happy.
Yet if commentators and the NFL talk about "the no. 1 defense in the NFL" it's always about the leader in who allowed fewest yards. They specifically call them "No. 1 scoring defense" otherwise.
Last year Texans were the no. 1 defense in the league. Patriots were the no. 1 scoring defense.
Personally think "No. 1 defense" should be the scoring defense.
No 1. Defence should be the one that gives up the fewest points.
Or take points conceded - points scored for your score.
Being the highest scoring means nothing if you cough up 6 every other play.
Oh fuck, Wallace out with a concussion, so our top receiver for the rest of this game is Michael Campanaro
The Vikings/Ravens game looked like it was much higher scoring than I expected until I saw the 4 FGs were 48, 52, 51 and 57 yards.
Cam Newton is also the Bear's best offensive player.
And...I forgot that Cincinatti and Pittsburgh got flexed.
Hundley's got a pair of legs on him.
I give it 3 weeks before he gets laid out.
Was gonna sit down and watch the Rams games and... its 13-0 and they've knocked Palmer out of the game, I had high hopes for entertainment!

Peterson getting stuffed is ok
Palmer is out and his back up Stanton is in.
Live look:
Vikings and Ravens turning into a shootout with a 9-6 score at halftime.
