Does anyone else want the FCC to win?

Does anyone feel the same about this? I generally feel that the world would be a lot better off if the Internet wasn't so easily available. At first I thought I was all gung-ho to protect internet freedoms... but the more I step back and look around at what has been created, the more I feel like we were doing better without the Internet.

Nobody goes outside any more. Nobody wants to celebrate Holidays. Surprise has been robbed from reality. I am no longer able to enjoy things properly...

I feel like if places like the OT forums and 4Chan and other shit trolling sites didn't exist or it took a lot of effort to use them, the world would be better.

Am I the only one that feels this way? I honestly hope the FCC tears it all down and makes it a shadow of its former self.

You can't really expect people to not respond like that, when:

a) putting "small minded moderators" in your post - that's not going to really help
b) reporting the first two posts, which are opinions in response to your post, which is odd to say people don't go out anymore and people spend too much time on the internet, when you are on MMO-C writing on the internet saying this?

On topic however, I think its less taking the "access" away, to use your words:

I think that is not necessarily true, as people do go outside (I regularly play football for a Sunday league team and generally enjoy the great outside). Also, millions of people celebrate holidays?

Surprise is a bit subjective, I have managed to avoid spoilers for Thor: Ragnarok, so it hasn't been robbed from me!

Also, if you are unable to enjoy things properly anymore, is that due to the internet? Other people you know being stuck to the internet and not being around?

If all you can extrapolate from the FCC's warpath march toward turning the Internet into a restrictive business instead of a free-form tool for the future is "If they win then more people will be outdoors and more people wishing me a happy holiday", then you shouldn't be spouting your opinion to anyone anywhere. You have no clue what it is they're attempting to do, and why it's bad for us, for others, for future generations.

No, I do not agree with you. This isn't websites that are the problem but the human beings that are behind the screen. As well, if you were against sites like this, or sub forums, then why are you lingering here enough to make a discussion topic which baits people to react to your opinion and you then quickly claim to report them.

But no, the world wouldn't be a better place without these sites, for another one would be made, and another one would be made, and another one would be made. People have their voices they wish to out and they can't always speak their thoughts in public/home due to what they are. It is on the base of social development and raising of children that you have to look at.

And trust me, plenty goes outside to celebrate holidays, planty goes out with family and friends. Maybe you haven't noticed this because you aren't one of the ones that does?

As well, if you find yourself unable to enjoy things in the real world, then I suggest you see a psychologist as you need to have a talk and maybe unplug yourself.

As for you being unable to be surprised, that is subjective.
