Yah i agree. They mssed the boat on that one.
We’re celebrating next week’s update with another Free 50 Frenzy event!
If you didn’t claim one last time, just log in after the update on November 1 (and before 11:59pm PST*, November 5), and you’ll have a free character boost available at character creation for you to make a new level 50 character with. This is a one-time use offer, so be extra sure you’re creating the character you want to before finalizing it. Once your free level 50 boost is used, it’s used up forever—no takesy-backsies! Also be aware that if you took advantage of this offer last time, you won’t get another. This is a once-per-account-for-forever promotional event.
The free character boost offered with the Free 50 Frenzy differs slightly from the paid-for version, but still includes all of the following:
Full set of Assault (DPS) gear already equipped
Bag of Support Gear: Full set based on class Support role (tanking/healing)
Bag of Path Rewards: Stuff you’d normally get for your Path while leveling
Mount: Something to ride around on!
Protostar Housing Teleportation Unit: Use this item to transport to your housing plot, and it’ll also give you a Recall ability to get back to your house if you leave it
Capital City Transmat Coordinates: Use this to add another Recall button, but this one transports you to your capital city
We’ve created some helpful information for new level 50s, and Gamepedia has an awesome character boost guide, too! Just keep in mind you’ll also have the Primal Matrix system to progress through.
Everyone that logs in during the Free 50 Frenzy event can claim their free character boost, but it must be used to create a level 50 character during the promotion period. Be sure to claim it quick as the Free 50 Frenzy event ends at 11:59pm PST*, November 5!
*That’s PST for you North America folks; don’t forget to set your clocks back on November 5. Gain an hour and a level 50—sweet!
Can't even be bothered to reinstall it for a free 50 if I'm honest.
Just no motivation to play Wildstar. Not because it's bad but because I have other games that I want to play.
If they are doing it just 7 months after the first one that can't bode too well for the player numbers.
Im probably gonna take advantage of this, missed the first time. Either Medic or Warrior. Not sure yet..

Yep. Carbine keep doing this and it's only hurting them in the long run. They need to seriously stop scheduling things around big game launches. Not to mention there's Blizzcon this week and all eyes will be on that for the WoW expansion.
Doing an event or promo like this when we have 4 big games out. AC Origins, Destiny 2 on PC, Super Mario Odyssey and Wolfenstein 2 is just silly.
Whoever manages PR or stuff like this at Carbine needs to rethink their strategies.
Yep, between all the games launching today, plus a few more next week including fucking Call of Duty on next Friday, they're basically setting this promotion up to underperform.
I swear, it's like there's someone at Carbine who specifically tries to time promotions, announcements, and launches to the worst possible competitive timing they possibly can. Almost every major beat or promotion has butted up against something infinitely bigger that will completely kill their chances to get any real traction with media to help build awareness.

Apparently if you used the free boost last time you can't again.
Genius move Carbine. 100% genius.

The "High Definition Holovision" now has a preview asset when viewing it in your housing crate.
Vendor price for the "Exile NPC Decor" set now matches that of the "Dominion NPC Decor" set.

With the release of Genetic Archives Prime 1, the global item level cap has been increased to 170.

Copy paste:
as the title says i am acusing bloodpact of abusing a open world buff that should not be usable in raid instances. this buff called godwood tree extract can be obtained in celestion: grimhold quarantine zone 2 by having presumably a settler build it from the settler depot.
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...83/unknown.png
as for proof here are their very own logs.(keep in mind the buff does not show up in the buff list if you took it before the log started and didnt run out midlog however if some1 dies with the buff it does show up in the logs.)
Buff in question godwood tree extract https://www.wildstarlogs.com/reports...uras&source=19
Health in fight https://www.wildstarlogs.com/reports...rces&source=19
now as for proof that the other raiders also ran the buff here are some other logs from members that did the fight with and without the buff.
With godwood tree extract buff

Without godwood tree extract buff
https://www.wildstarlogs.com/reports...urces&source=7
it is quite obvious bloodpact is abusing the buff here because everytime you die you lose this buff and have to go back to the area to get it back!
at the same time this is carbines fault for failing to have people test fights like Malfunctioning Gear and Dreadphage Ohmna but resorting to abusing buffs like these is unacceptable.
Screenshots in case they delete logs.

Come and join the fun...we are here to stay
Hey everyone!
I’d like to start this State of the Universe by giving a shout-out to our incomparable WildStar community. Throughout last year you’ve shown the passion, dedication, and excitement that has made Nexus one of the most welcoming and inclusive planets in the galaxy. Whether through supporting new players during the Power of the Primal Matrix update and our Free 50 Frenzy earlier in the year, running your own community-driven events, or by creating incredible environments during our Community Showdown contest, you continue to be the most important part of our ongoing adventure.
It’s hard to believe that 2017 is already in the books—and what a year it was! We started it out with the Power of the Primal Matrix update; which not only brought a brand new max-level progression system to WildStar, but also a new dungeon (Coldblood Citadel), a new Expedition (Evil From the Ether), and Prime difficulty levels (with better lootz!) for some of our existing content.
Soon afterward, we introduced Prime Raids to WildStar—which added even greater challenges and rewards beyond Redmoon Terror. We followed that up with the Homecoming update, where we presented the long-awaited Communities feature—groups of people can now create and customize entire neighborhoods of player housing—as well as holding a huge contest for it, and added the new Residential Renovation in-game event to support it. And, finally, we concluded the year with Primetime, which was a veritable smorgasbord of delicious Prime content, including Genetic Archives Prime 1, and Prime difficulty offerings for the rest of our dungeons and expeditions.
All of this came alongside our ongoing in-game events and holiday celebrations—like Shade’s Eve, the zPrix Invitational, and Protostar’s Gala Winterfest Extravaganza!—making 2017 a memorable and fun year for WildStar fans around the world.
Which brings us to some of your questions about WildStar’s future. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again: Carbine and NCSOFT are continuing to support the game for the foreseeable future. It has a vibrant and imaginative community, and we want to make sure that all of you can continue to experience everything that planet Nexus has to offer. With that in mind, you can expect the same line-up of fun in-game events and holiday celebrations that you’ve enjoyed in years past.
Bottom line? WildStar is—and will continue to be—an amazing place to spend your time collecting, building, and adventuring.
As always, I want to thank all of the dedicated WildStar players who continue to make our game amazing. This is going to be another great year, and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you!
Pappy & Team WildStar
Sooooo.... we have nothing to say about our game other than we swears there will be a game to play, with the same shitty content you've played for 3 years now. Give us your money morons. Yay!
