GTX 1070 Ti worth the upgrade?

I have an old GTX 970 with standard clocks on it so I was wondering if it's worth it to upgrade to a GTX 1070 Ti?

And it's just too bad that graphics cards are so expensive these days.

If you can get one for ~450 usd, it's a good deal price : performance wise.
Thanks for the ad-hominem; it supports your inability to support your argument.

Depends on the prices, if you can get a 1080 for 500$ or less get the 1080 if you find a cheap 1070TI for 400-420$ get the 1070TI.
Oh and dont get a FE 1070TI if you like a quiet GPU.

As i can see you live in Sweden and you guys have the same problem as we do in Denmark. The gtx 1070 ti is the same prices as the gtx 1080 and some of the gtx 1070 ti cost more then the gtx 1080.

Get this one. It's cheaper then the gtx 1070 ti (I could find 1 gtx 1070 ti that was cheaper with 100 se Kr.) Gigabyte Geforce gtx 1080 windforce oc 5399 se Kr.

Cheapest gtx 1070 ti i could find at Komplett SE was 5299 SE Kr. EVGA Geforce gtx 1070 ti sc

PS. The prices for GFX cards in Sweden are INSANE

I think that it would be better for me to get the GTX 1080 Windforce OC and yes I agree prices are insane.

This is the cheapest GTX 1080 that I could find and only about 200 SEK more than the cheapest GTX 1070 Ti but I still doesn't want to pay that price so I'm hoping for lower prices after Christmas. https://www.inet.se/produkt/5405847/...80-8gb-dual-oc

You realise that we have sales in Denmark where the 1080 goes down to 4000 kr? Even brands like Asus are normally priced at around 4800 kr for 1080.

I was in the same conundrum, I jumped to the 1080 because it is not that much more and is oddly outright slightly more power efficient with lower power draw under gaming loads. Just hot where I am and every bit helps.

Definitely if you are buying any of the special edition 1070ti's then 1080 is well within grasp. I do think the 1070ti is too expensive right now for what it is to be a no brainer.

It's a decent performance upgrade. Make sure that you consider all other factors into increasing performance when considering the price, however, so that you don't catch your rig into a performance bottleneck when updating the GPU.

    4199 DKK = 5585 SEK

Conclusion: graphics cards are cheaper in Sweden than in Denmark.

Yes and thats why i say that the gtx 1080 is cheaper then the gtx 1070 ti? What part of my post did you not understand?

And the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 WINDFORCE OC 8GB cost 4292 Kr. and that is not on sale and the Palit GeForce GTX 1080 Dual 8GB cost 4.082 Kr. and that is allso not on sale, so yes the GTX 1080 card is cheaper then the GTX 1070 ti if you want the top cards.

If you want the standart gtx 1070 ti cards, then yes you can them for under 4000 Kr. But we both know that the standart cards are not worth the money if you want good cooling and a card that can handle some OC.

So even without sale's the GTX 1080 is cheaper then the GTX 1070 ti.

PS. Remember that the shops set the price on the cards higher this week and next week, so they can lower them again and call it a Black Friday price when they lower them to normal price again ( yes sadly thats how most of the shops do here in Denmark on Black friday. They cheat with the prices )

Whoa, you are incapable of following an discussion, like at all. Why are you providing me links to stuff? You asked him
Sit down Dane and post a link to those 4000 DKK GTX 1080 cards.
to which he replied and gave you links to them. I don't care about the price difference between Sweden and Denmark, or your arguement in general. I care about your inability to follow any discussion about anything when wanting proof of something, and the second someone throw you a link with proof, you just disappear without a trace. You argue without facts, with pure statements about soo much without as much as a single bit of evidence. Like the Bitcoin discussion where you refused to believe that bitcoins can be used irl. Or the One-Core WoW statements where you got destroyed by facts from so many sources, by so many posters. Your only self-defence when you get caught is more silly-non factual statements or sarcasm, or just complete silence where you back down and run away.

You asked him to provide a link to "those 4000 DKK GTX 1080 cards", well he did. What does it take for you to just be humble and admit you said something wrong?
