Good catch. They didn't announce anything, but might during the Gameplay and Systems Deep Dive panel in a little while.

It was just a UI mockup so I wouldn't consider it confirmation of a squish.

looks like a placeholder graphic to me. Maybe it was done just before they had a big discussion on a item level squish so they graphic designers designed the graphic with that in mind.

Think we have to await for the next panels to find out, as this was announced to be a mock-up and not an actual setup.
